 Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Outside of the games my son got for Christmas last year; Mario Odyssey, Zelda, Pokemon Battle something, everything since has been digital. 1, because my son, like most 9 year olds can't keep up with crap. 2, it really cuts down on us worrying about our daughter getting her grubby little paws on the cartridges. 3, I like having all my purchases linked to my Nintendo account in the event something does happen to the console.

I’m basically all physical with the switch. I’m all digital with Xbox and PS, been this way for years. I can’t justify going all digital with the switch at this point the physical cartridges hold way too much value as I look even on eBay and people are still selling used cartridge games For almost full value which is crazy I’ll stick with physical on the switch probably for good and I could build the collection which is always nice

128 should be good a a bit. If the bigger size isn’t that much of a price difference then go for the 256gb

Ok. I’m not a digital guy. All my games will be in physical form. So I’m guessing 128 gb should be enough for game saves and game updates.128 should be good a a bit. If the bigger size isn’t that much of a price difference then go for the 256gb

256 is not common/or found at all on Canadian websites. But they run $125 plus. I’ve seen numerous 128/brands. At $30 to $60.

 Thanks for the help man.

 Thanks for the help sir.

That Samsung 128 I posted a pic of was $40 and a SANdisk ultra 128 was $60. That’s the best I could find......I’m assuming the SANdisk is the better of the two but it’s $30 more. Will I even notice the difference after I stick the card in my switch ?? Probably not.Last edited by Mintsa; 12-25-2018, 10:45 AM.Comment

 Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Yeah, we're pretty much all digital with the other systems as well. Nowadays games are crazy cheap with how often they run sales. I'd say I average about 15$ per game. This year alone I picked up Horizon Complete Edition for 15$, MK:XL for 5$, Rise of Tomb Raider complete edition for 10$ as well as others for less than 10$. I get the huge single player releases (RDR2, Spiderman, GOW) as well as 2K and The Show at launch preinstalled. I'll never play a game I'm looking forward to a second later than possible. Everything else I grab on sale anyway so I'm not concerned about resale value.I’m basically all physical with the switch.

With Nintendo, you're gonna pay as they don't ever seem to run huge sales, but the payoff is that the games hold up really well. We were still playing the original Wii regularly up until we got the Switch last year. Outside of Smash, Mario Kart, Mario Odyssey, Super Mario Bros, Zelda and Metroid, the Nintendo cupboard is pretty empty for us. But you're right, if resale is your thing then the Switch is great. We traded our original Wii along with about 8 games and it netted us enough for 2 Switch games. That was great considering Gamestop is know for giving you crumbs.

 Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

The total haul this year ended up being:
 Arms
 Sonic Mania
 Mario + Rabbids
 Mutant Football League

So far all we've have had time to play is a couple hours of Mario, but it has been a ton of fun. A lot of hand holding so far, but the turn based gameplay is really fun once you get an understanding of the dynamics. I like how the different characters are noticably different in their function. The first time I played with Luigi I got messed up and had to change up my strategy.

 Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

I finally have a Switch again after a year without it. I left my Switch on a plane in November 2017 and when I got through customs and called the gate, even though the plane was still there my Switch was long gone. I was so angry with myself I didn't buy a new one. But I received one for Christmas this year, so I'm back in the game! Had to repurchase Zelda but at least I was able to redownload Mario Odyssey since I had the digital version of it

I stink at Dead Cells, but man, is it a blast to play. Controls are fantastic and nothing really feels cheap about how you perish. Instead of frustration, you find yourself motivated to go further than the previous play through.Currently Playing:
