Did they say anywhere how many months you would be making that payment for before its paid off?

It's probably 24 months like the existing SKUs.

It's a good deal, unless you're good at getting reduced pricing on your Ultimate sub or something.

24 months of Game Pass Ultimate is $360, putting the Series X at $480 under a $35/mo plan if that ends up being accurate. $503.76 if it's $35.99/mo.

If they do it like they did current gen, 24 months. But you can pay it off sooner then that if you want.

Thanks, haven't had an Xbox since the 360 so didn't know how all this payment plan stuff worked.

Great pricing options...Sony can't compete with 299 and could help pick up the people who don't want to spend as much money, they won't necessarily be locked into PS5 exclusives. Would also make for a great streaming/gaming box for other tvs, especially if you have Game Pass

I think All Access is going to be a really big deal this cycle, if they're really opening that up to other people to sell. Imagine walking into a Best Buy or Walmart and walking out with a Series X or Series S for less than $40 out of pocket.

Could be a game-changer if the monthly pricing options are available in retail outlets.

I wonder how stringent the financing option is? Asking for a friend of course.

I’ll still stick with PS5 but only because I can get any game on my PC that I could on Xbox.

In due time much closer to now then in distant future it will be the same for Sony on PC

This is the first time I’ve ever heard anyone say Phil must go. It’s a first day for me. Consoles rarely come out with a ton of great games from jump. Xbox is in a great position actually. They have game pass which will have a ton of games to play and all the 3rd party games will look and run better. It’s a no brainer for me

can I ask why 3rd party games will look and run better? I have a ps4 and xb1x. I'm asking not just between consoles but AMONG them.

So for example I play a tonne of pubg on x1x, if I had a series s or x I don't get how it would run better - they developed what they developed right? just because your new console CAN run 120 fps, I don't think it will in most cases - but admittedly I'm not an expert on specs and what they can do vis a vis a finished game so that's why I'm asking.

edit/ part of why I'm asking is because to me at least it seems developers will have to make games and cater to too many 'levels of power' which seems super time-consuming and annoying. ps4, xbox 1, xbox 1 x, ps4 pro, xbsx, xbss, ps5 ... and pc .... hahaha what a mess

I'm glad that this cat and mouse game is over. EA Play addition is big to be included into Gamepass.

It is funny that they released all these details on PlayStation's 25th anniversary lol
