I guess calling Gamestop and FedEx got their butts in high-gear, because I finally now got an update. The console arrived at FedEx in Fort Worth tonight, and has an estimated delivery of Thursday the 24th between 11 and 2.

Hopefully I gets here earlier than that but id rather get it then instead of not getting it at all.

Where do you live? Fort Worth was my first stop and it felt like it was there for a while. Also, just to not get your hopes up, my estimated delivery day changed to the next day on the day it was supposed to be delivered.

I live in the North Shore Chicago suburbs. And I definitely agree with not getting my hopes up, but as of right now it looks like its following the same route and timeline of the game/controller delivery (which was delivered at 11am on the estimated delivery day). Currently, its already left the fort worth origin facility, and will probably stop in Champaign, and then the local shipping center to be put on a delivery truck.

Regardless, I’ll most likely have it Thursday-Saturday, and have a TON of free time coming up to spend gaming.

Some random info, but the post offices are chaotic right now. I drive trucks and accepted a load from a post office in Jersey City going to Indianapolis. I got to Indianapolis at 730pm Saturday evening and had to get in a line of trucks about half a mile long. About 20 trucks in all. I finally pulled into a dock around 4pm on Sunday and finished getting unloaded at 6pm. Long story short, I sat at the post office for 20 hours waiting to get unloaded.

Is anyone here using a 3rd party HDMI 2.1 cord with their PS5? I am trying to find a 10ft one. Lots of them on Amazon but I'm not sure if any of them actually work.

I have strong suspicions about the ones on Amazon.

this would be one of those acceptable emergency times to open one of those 5's and give it a good and thorough 20 hour test. ya' know, to insure delivery of a quality product

Don’t fall for the trap of overpaying for HDMI cables. It’s the biggest rip off. Just order one that has good reviews. There’s also some that have an approval stamp.

Yeah, this is 100% next-gen. Im in love. I got Spider-man: MM with the bundle, bought Cold War and 2K and will be buying Valhalla tomorrow. The controller is the biggest thing tho, the triggers and haptic feedback add SO much to the immersion.

After a few days, the haptic feedback was annoying to me. I turn it off in every game that allow me to. In sports games it is just way too much. Battery life definitely improves with it off.

I haven't been this addicted to a new system since the 360 or maybe even PS2.

You can turn all of that stuff off at a system/console level in the settings as opposed to doing it with each individual game.

Yep and adjust the intensity. I mostly play FIFA and turned the trigger effect to medium. At the default of high I was afraid I was going to break the thing because it almost locks up at times. No issues with medium, just some extra resistance with fatigue and body contact.
