If need be I think it could be September and pushed back to November to give it 2 more months to polish. I say march at latest but I think GOW may be march. I know we have not seen GOW yet but they could easily give us something like that in the next month or so. Also lately when Sony has done state of plays for like 1 game the games have been pretty close.

Yeah, when Sony does SOP for one game, it's usually close but there's rumors that Sony will not have an E3 type SOP this year which if true, would explain why they showed Horizon 2. Also, showing Horizon 2 before the big Microsoft/Bethesda showcase makes sense to take away some of the steam from that show.

I would be shocked if Horizon 2 releases in September. I think November is the earliest and depends on if Sony is confident that Guerrilla can hit that date and also if Sony wants to go head to head with the heavy hitters in the Fall which they normally avoid.

I can see Sony showing God of War Ragnarok in September if they don't have a main SOP showcase in June/July because it would again, take steam out of Microsoft's stuff which will be Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite. I'm not expecting Ragnarok until Fall 2022 at the earliest and even then, I can easily see it getting pushed to Spring 2023.

You have remember, everyone is still working from home for 12-18 months so it slows down everything. That's why I don't get hyped for release dates because I know that until the game is in my hands, it can change.

Its hard to say with GOW because all we have seen is a logo. I think it depends how when we see it and like how much do they show. Sony I think will do a big SOP in June. I was thinking the week before meaning this next week but now that they did the Horizon SOP I think they will do a big SOP the week after e3 so that Nintendo and Microsoft dont have all the hype from e3 to them selfs for to long. Its interesting because it also brings up the question of when will GT7 come out. if horizon and GOW are both 2022 and GT7 then what kind of release would we be looking at? Like Horizon in march, GOW in summer and GT7 end of 2022 or something?

What profile did you carry over from the companion app (PS4 only)

          How's the 3d sound on the Ps5??

So here is the deal. I picked up the new Sony 3D headphones for PS5 but also still have my sony golds and used the companion app for MLB The Show 20.

You gotta make sure on the console itself the 3D sound is toggled off for any PS4 game being played on the PS5 as those games are not optimized for the 3D sound field.

For example when I played The Show with 3D toggled to “on” on the console settings the PA announcer was all garbled and I could not hear him clearly at all.

Turned it off and the sound was great again.

          FYI

And how do you compare the Gold with the new Sony 3d headsets? Any real difference in terms of sound quality?

I played the demo for scarlet nexus last night that came out on Friday pretty good took about 50 minutes to beat the demo. You can play has a guy or girl not sure if you get like a different demo with each or what but pretty cool game already had it pre order. Has anyone else played the demo?

The reason why I don't believe Sony has an SOP in June is because they showed Horizon 2. If they were/are having an SOP in June, why not save Horizon 2 gameplay for that show? That baffles me and makes me think that they're not having a showcase. Granted, they could have want to wow people before Microsoft/Nintendo have their shows but at the same time, Ratchet releases on June 11th which is right at the start of E3/Keighley's Summer Game Fest so it's not like they had to show Horizon 2.

I am hoping they have June 60 minute or so SOP but im not expecting it anymore after the Horizon 2 SOP.

I think God of War Ragnarok is Spring 2023. If it's full fledged sequel which is what it's supposed to be, I can't see them having it done and ready for release in less than four years especially when you take Covid into account. Only way would be if it's a smaller Miles Morales type standalone which I hope it's not. I want a full fledged sequel.

As for Gran Turismo 7, I believe that will be Fall 2022 and go head to head with Forza Motorsport.

Well if Sony doesn't do a state of play they could just like randomly drop info kind of like Nintendo did several times last year when we didnt get a Nintendo direct for a long time. I just have a hard time believing they will go all summer with out like a GOW update or showing a teaser trailer for spiderman 2 or silent hill or something. Also Sony still needs to give info about when you can start to use a SSD to have more space for ps5 games. Sony has gotten harder to predict over the last year or so with having these state of plays kind of Nintendo direct like thing and doing state of plays for single games and such. Seems like Nintendo and Sony are kind of doing there own thing more so then Microsoft when it comes to how they do things. Like Nintendo had a few smaller things over the last 3 weeks or so they could have easily saved for e3 them selfs.

Sony doesn't have consoles on shelves and as soon as a batch comes in, it sells out so not much reason to hype up people when they can't just buy the console at the moment they want to.

Sony could address the SSD issue with a blog post or a tweet which is probably what they'll do for this issue.

Nintendo is part of E3. We could get a Direct on June 15th.

PS Plus is currently 25% off for a years subscription. It's not the biggest discount but I've seen but still less money is less money. I think I'm subscribed through 2024 at this point though so I can wait on bigger deals personally.

I know CDkeys usually has a sale for around $31 in the fall most years. I should've gotten enough for 2 years. So, I'll wait until a similar deal comes up

More like Horizon and Days Gone where the game has been out a couple years and probably sold as much as it was going to on console. I think I saw Uncharted 4 might also go to PC.

Yeah, think of it more as 'legacy titles' coming to PC I think for the time being.

Man, all the 'we believe in generations' stuff is really coming home to roost on social media and in the press today.

Reminds me a bit of the 'rumble is a last gen technology' schtick as they tried to justify the SIXAXIS (when the reality is they were facing litigation at the time).
