Re: PlayStation 5
Has anyone had an issue where if it’s been more than 8+ hrs from the last time you turned your system on, when you attempt to turn it on with the wireless controller, the system doesn’t respond?
Been dealing with this for a few days and the only solution so far has been to completely power down the system(usually doing this by unplugging/plugging it back in)and then it will detect my controller.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: PlayStation 5
The frame rate improvements on MLB 20 are very noticeable as well. Felt like I was playing the game for the first time again when I switched over to the PS5.Currently Playing:

Re: PlayStation 5
Spent the last week doing what the PS5 was intended for:
Playing a game made in 2012/13.
Just finished Bioshock Infinite and the Burial at Sea DLC. I'm partly joking here but this game and the entire Bioshock story/multiverse thing going on is amazing. It just took me years to get to it.
I like my PS5 a lot and would not go back but it has been annoying not having enough new games that interest me. Some of that is getting older and not wanting to buy everything that releases but there's definitely a shortage of quality titles too.
I'm ready for games to get away from cross gen. The pro is that I can share games with my kids on their PS4 Pro but selfishly I want the best experience possible on the console I have.Last edited by AUChase; 08-08-2022, 09:54 AM.Comment

Like I said before, I think 2023 is when we start to see less cross gen. By 2024, is when I see cross gen fully getting left behind. GoW:R is the last known major cross gen Sony game, I think. While it'll likely look and play great, it's hard to not imagine if that game was developed for PS5 exclusively. It might be that we're at the point of diminishing returns, but most of these next gen versions are just "prettier". But for me, visuals aren't the top priority. I want to see next gen gameplay and games that aren't built around the restrictions of last gen.
Once the consoles are more accessible, then we'll see more publishers go current gen only. I wonder how a game like Gotham Knights will fare sales wise going next gen only. As was said before, that's a cross gen game that likely had optimization problems with last gen. Pretty much throughout the year, they have been showing tidbits of the game to keep it revelant. Which I think should help them sales wise.Comment

Re: PlayStation 5
That's what I pretty much have done so far. Mostly I just played PS4 games that were optimized for PS5. That's likely what I'll mostly be doing for the remainder of the year and beginning of next year.

Is there a website or list that shows which older games we can play on the PS5? [emoji102]#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: PlayStation 5
Most of the games I will be playing for the rest of the year will be from the PS Plus Extra tier lol. I'm already leaning towards passing on 2k23 this year and likely will wait to play GOW until sometime early next year. If I could have waited to get the PS5 until around now, I would have. But, don't regret it because of the availability.Comment

Re: PlayStation 5
See how PS4's biggest games take advantage of PS5 hardware to look and feel better than ever, including higher resolutions, enhanced visuals, improved performance and a range of free upgrades.

Playing optimized games like Tomb Raider SoTR and Gow on the PS5, is a better experience. Especially with the 60 FPSComment

Re: PlayStation 5
I go there a lot. If it was on the PS4 it's likely you can play it on PS5. Physical PS3 games don't work, and even the digital versions they have are emulated/streamed.Comment
