I'm kind of leaning towards Desmond's snow globe theory. As for the storylines, hopefully they focus on the Jack, Kate, Sawyer vs The Others struggle and whatever happens there. At the beach, it will be interesting to see who takes charge with the obvious leaders gone, unless Sayid comes back immediately.

How will Hurley even find his way back? They had sacks over their head.
And something that I find confusing. Did Henry get captured purposely or was he legitamately captured? If he purposely got himself caught what was the point if they can watch their action in the Swan Station. Just so he can f*ck with them?Comment

I never thought that Henry got captured on purpose. Its interesting to think about it though and it makes sense.

Or the others just ran out of supplies and Henry just had a hankering for some cereal.Comment

Sorry if this has been mentioned before. As for the 2 guys searching for the magnetism. How do we know that that scene isn't a flashback and not a "live" scene? How do we know this didn't happen like 3 years ago when Desmond just got there? Who's to say that scene is running in sequence?Comment

Don't think they'd get a reading for the almsot letting it blow, sceneComment

Originally posted by Fresh TendrilsSo, what storyline(s) do you guess think the writers will center around?
Also, I read today on a Lost forum where one of the posters had watched an interview with the actor who plays Michael and he said he won't be back until Season 4. I don't know if he's just saying **** or is actually serious. I guess we'll see. If they leave Michael and Walt's story in limbo for an entire season, that is going to suck.Comment

I don't think there was an 'explosion'.
I just think the hatch door and whateve else were simply, repelled when the magnetism was reversed with Desmond's key turn.
Charlie was acting very strange when he returned to the beach. If there was an explosion, he would have known about it and reacted accordingly.
And on Walt not saying much... I actually thought this episode and the previous one, his (younger) voice seemed to be dubbed in. Possibly because it has become much too deep in real life now, I don't know.
Decent episode but this second season was nowhere near the quality and brilliance of the first season.
And it really showed throughout the season that different writer's and directors were swapping back and forth because the actor's acting and lines were often out of character, their was one episode when the flashbacks were done in a different way than usual, Sun suddenly speaking bad English ("boat, boat") when we had previously seen it much better, Hurley not being able to act convincingly during a dramatic scene, bad edits and cuts during the final... certainly a disappointing season.
Too many pointless episodes that dragged out the season. You could pretty much watch the first 2 and last 2 shows of the season and get it all.
I am really disappointed with the whole 'fake beards, fake hillbilly's' thing. If they don't have a good explanation, it could ruin it all for me. Especially now that we are going to start seeing stories develop off the island. Something I feared would happen.Comment

Re: "Lost" Season 2 discussion thread (Spoilers for the West Coast)...
As I said before the thing that really irritates me about LOST is that I really believe the writers had a solid storyline and everything would unravel accordingly. Now it just appears like they are shooting from the hip.
Its like like a puzzle that the viewer can get immersed in and try and solve, because the answer to all the questions has not even been decidied yet, if it is at all.
A clear example of the writers shooting from the hip is the whole Anna Lucia escapade. How much time did they waste on her flashbacks only to have her die abruptly. What about training the army.
What about Jack's double standards. He is always screaming full disclosure, that everyone must know everything, then he leads Hurley, Kate and Sawyer into a trap.
Lock has acted out of character in many episodes at the end of Season 2.
What about the dinosaurs or whatever was in the jungle in the first few episodes of season 1? Something ripped the pilot right out of the cockpit. What happened to that whole theme?
I like the show, its definitely entertaining, but the storyline could go down a slippery road to unraveling very soon.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

The security system? I'm pretty sure they blew it up in the season finale of season 1....http://flotn.blogspot.com
