Re: "Lost" Season 2 discussion thread...

Cool story to tell you guys. My parents, brother-in-law and his buddies, were waiting at the Oahu airport in Honolulu for one of my sisters to arrive last Friday. Well, there was a guy there also waiting for his wife and it happened to be Terry O'Quinn (Locke). My brother-in-law and his friends are big fans of the show so they were pretty happy to meet him. My mom told me they all talked to him for a while and got a couple of pictures. He told them that the upcoming show (last nights) was a lot about his character. When my sister finally showed up, she also got her picture taken with him. He asked her though, "Are you a fan of the show too?" She said, "No, not really. I've never watched it." He jokingly responds, "Well, why not?" My dad apparently started cracking up. They all thought that was funny as hell. My sister really didn't have an answer. Anyway, from what they all said, he is a very nice guy. Wish I could have been there to meet him too.

I don't think those are the others. Those are more passengers, or something, but not the others. The others are the people on the boat with the pitch-black eyes...these people are humans.

Gin's going to play a major role in this season...mark my words.

Sawyers still my favorite character, even if he got pwned by a girl.(Then again it is MR...not too feminine)
The writers wouldn't let on if that theory was correct anyway, they do want to keep everyone watching.

Of course they wouldn't, but I'm also pretty sure they wouldn't lie to the media, and they said that the characters are not dead...which is another, easier way to draw people in. Makes people think, "Then what the hell is going to happen?"

They aren't dead, as much as I think that, there's no way. I do think the Others are plane crash survivors, but are the ones who made the plane crash. I don't even know what to think though, I wish it was on every night!

Did anyone catch the preview for next week? I had already flipped to CSI:NY, but I read that there was a bombshell in the preview.

I also read that next week centers around Hurley. That should be interesting.

That doesnt make sense though. If they are dead, then how did Boone, the school teacher and the federal marshal all die?

We havent seen the others yet other than the ones who were on the boat taking Walt away.

                  Spoiler....

The writers told Rolling Stone that Michelle Rodriguez's crew were not the "Others" just other passengers who landed on the island and are surviving with a more militaristic approach. Not the hippie community approach that Jack and the rest of the passangers have.

If the tail section of plane that contains the "others" that broke off long before the mid section that contains Jack and all them, how could they all possibly end up on the same island. That doesn't really make sense...

Nothing with this show is supposed to be realistic or believable. If they meant them all to end up on the same island, so be it. It isn't supposed to all "make sense".

I cant wait for next week for them to elaborate on why Jin decided not to tell his wife, nor anyone on the isle that he understood and speaks engrish...err english.

LOL. No wonder I was so confused reading through this. I thought I must've missed a part where Jin was speaking English.

I'm a LOST newbie who's still trying to catch up on Season 1 DVD's while watching Season 2. It is one heck of a show though.

There was no part in this past episode where Jin speaks english, in the preview for next weeks episode they showed him talking english.

You probably just did not watch the preview at the end of last nights episode.

Yep, I had already changed the channel to watch CSI:NY.

I had a feeling Jin would start speaking English in the show, but I thought it would be learned English. The actor who plays Jin speaks English very clearly. On an interview on the Bonus disc for Season 1 DVDs, the actor says that this is the first time he has ever had to act in Korean. Once I saw that, I knew his English speaking days on the show would be coming.
