Is what I'm looking at... VERY NICE.... I may wait until the middle of the year to pick it up though... due to the price on LCD's dropping around then.Last edited by WTF; 01-16-2007, 01:11 AM.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread
I LOVE it. the only thing that kinda bothers me is the silk screen effect on very bright objects. If you sit the right distance away you don't even notice it, but I know it's there so it bothers me some.
If you are considering it, I would go for it man, if you can let the cash go. You can probably even get it for a better price than I did, a few months ago. It has everything that you will need for the future.
Let me know if you have any questions about it.NFL: Tennessee Titans

Go with the 55". http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1149208957206
I gave 2400 + tax + warranty for mine at Best Buy a few months ago. I would say that you could get it for under 2200 right now, if you press them.NFL: Tennessee Titans

Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread
Cool... I may go for it relatively soon. But I'm just I guess drawn to the fact that June-August LCD prices are going to drop drastically... so if I could wait it out, it'd be the much smarter and more logical decision, but I don't always make those, lol.
I seen one in the store the other day, and it was just absolutely beautiful. Do you have any HD-DVDs or BDs? If so, how do they look on it?Twitter - WTF_OS

Ah... I was looking at the 1080p LCD projection Sony that I had listed.. it was a really nice TV... I mean, my Sammy DLP is nice, but it doesn't improve the picture quality too much over the 32" LG LCD which is only 720p/1080i. I guess I'm just rather partial to LCD's for some reason. The TV you pointed out though looks pretty sweet, I'll take a look at it when I'm at BB or CC, if I buy one, I may have to check into AA, lol.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread
I don't have either one. I have watched Superman on the 360 in HD, it looked pretty good. I will say that CBS Sports are beautiful in HD. My favorite channel is Discovery HD Theatre. I watch it constantly, after 3 or 4 months, I am still amazed at the PQ of the SXRD.Cool... I may go for it relatively soon. I'm serious when I say that it literally feels like you can reach out and grab the objects on the screen sometimes.
As far as the HD-DVD/Blue Ray thing, I just don't watch enough movies to make it worth my while right now. I also don't like leaving my 360 running all the time, that's why I haven't went with the HD drive yet. The 747 gets on my nerves sometimes. I plan to get a PS3 at the end of March, so I'll have Blue Ray then. I'm just not a big movie person at all. It's sports, wrestling, American Chopper, and just whatever's on Discovery. I'm weird.NFL: Tennessee Titans

don't go by the PQ at the store, I know you know that, but on this TV, it makes a huge difference when you get it dialed in. A huge difference.Ah... Maybe he's just trying to help you out? Some people just don't make good financial decisions and need others to help push them in the right direction.
Like I mentioned before, if someone can't pay for something in cash at the time of purchase, they shouldn't buy it. Forget about bonuses or tax refunds or anything like that. Stuff happens (ie: getting laidoff, disasters, family emergencies etc..) and you never want to payoff something in the future when you don't know what the future will be like.

Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread
My experience.... I posted this somewhere, but at my Best Buy, they had PS3's hooked up via HDMI to a 50" Sammy DLP with 1080P and had it enabled. Also had another hooked up via HDMI to a 42" 720 Sammy DLP. Had Mission Impossible 3 in both, I couldn't tell the difference at all.Comment
