Has anybody hooked up an indoor antenna to their HDTV? I bought one tonight and hooked it up and can't get any channels. I haven't really played around with it since I need to get to bed, but anybody have any tips?

Both of my tvs are getting OTA HD. Haven't had any problems. Used antennaweb.org to see what kind of antenna i needed.Comment

This seems like one hell of a deal. It says they are temporarily sold out, but you could still order at this price and wait. 2 hdmi, 2 component, PIP, memory card readers, 10,000:1 ratio. Sounds pretty good to me.
I know this is going back a few weeks and pages now, but when it comes to plasmas, beware the native resolution. The resolution on this particular set is 1024x768, which is not 1280x720 (720p). Make sure that the native resolution is at least the 720p equivalent and some of the newer sets are even higher than that.Comment

Ok I have a 2 yeard old HDTV and have only been using component up until this point. Everything has worked great through that including the set top box, 360, etc. Today I purchased a PS3 and an HDMI cable and I get a humming noise and some interference causing horizontal lines to roll through the tv when on any of the component inputs. The HDMI input does not have these lines but I don't want to have to keep unplugging the HDMI cable when the PS3 is not in use. Any ideas or suggestions? Would a lower end cable cause this or should I see about exercising my replacement plan on the TV since I have the PRP from Best Buy?S.O.S Crew

Are they black or dark lines? Odds are it's a ground loop issue...do you have all your components plugged into the same surge protector? Do you use multiple outlets for your system (I have my subwoofer plugged into a different outlet for example). Audioholics has some pretty good articles, and while some of the solutions are a bit complex, just search for "ground loops" and you should get some assistance.

The best way to describe it is it turns the area greenish in picture. The line is actually about 1.5 inches in height and runs horizontal through the whole screen. As for how I have everything plugged in, I have all my equipment including cable/sat line running through a monster surge protector/filter.

It's weird though that you would have the issues with the component inputs, since the boards in the TV are different, with component inputs being fed into the analog board with HDMI into the digital board.I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be. - Douglas Adams

When I first got the tv it had the lines running through it no matter the input settings so that's when I bought the filter/surge protector and the problem was elminated. Then last night it reared it's ugly head again. I am going to try several different things to see what I can get to work. Thanks again for your input and that site you directed me to.S.O.S Crew

Ok well I fixed the problem. Turns out I had a second cable line running straight into the TV without going through the filter(Pic-in-Pic purposes) and when I ran that one through, the line and hum went away. Now I am good to go. HDMI works like it should, Component works like it should, and all my optical audio works like it should. Again man thanks for the input and I hope I don't have any problems when I upgrade my current tv for a new one that supports HDMI 1.3.S.O.S Crew
