You must have missed my half dozen posts on the questions that you have asked on the last 2 or 3 pages. I answered all of them for you just after you bought the set.
Here are my settings for my 55" SXRD(try them before you knock them):

Don't base your setting on what someone with a totally different TV does, it doesn't make good sense. Did you go to CNET and use what they have? Something very close to that should be where your TV is set. There is nothing that you can do to make SD/analog channels look very good.
