Then AI03 will need to make sure that he has Video on the PS3 selected via HDMI and then audio selected via Optical.

    I hope that this helps.
Yikes!! That's a lot...I'll be sure to come back and ask or reference this thread in a few months when it comes to buying time. Thanks for helping!

I'm starting to look for a new tv today, any good deals out? I saw that circuity city is having a spring sale with 250 off its tv's with no interest till 2010. Maybe i should jump on that unless there are better tv deals out there.

I'm looking for a slim dlp 56" or more and right now, I have right now a Toshiba 56" and I'm giving it to my one my family members who has a 360 but not a hdtv yet. So since I want a replacement i'm looking for something similar in size and dlp. My bro has a 42 panasonic plasma in his room and I really like it for a room tv but this will be a living room tv that will be gamed on. And his plasma heats up the room like no other and for being in Arizona that's a no no. I'm hoping to find a dlp for under $1800.

Sams Club has a decent selection in the size you're looking for. At the Sams I work at, they have the Phillips 52" DLP with stand for $999. It has a nice picture.

from what i have read Sharp makes Sonys LCD's.. i have been very pleased with my Sony 32S2010. since Sharp basically made it why not pick up one of the above..

The games are set to run at a particular FPS, not the TV set.

Kind of depends....I just got my HDMI cable last week from monoprice (amazing online store) I just needed one becasue I'm running my upconvert dvd player to my hdtv using HDMI then running coaxial digital from my dvd to receiver. I think if your receiver has hdmi in/out I guess you would need 2 hdmi cords? One from the dvd going into the "in" on the receiver then one going from the "out" of the receiver to the tv. Not 100% on that but that seems to be the only feasible way if you receiver has hdmi.

that i understand, but each TV does have a fps... the gamer one is 60 fps.. i'm pretty sure the regular one is just 30 fps.. but i cant find any info to back that up..

Just wanted to give a quick initial review of the Vizio VX32L...which is the 32 inch LCD HDTV.

So far it get a 9/10. Picture is amazing on all fronts: OTA HD channels, 360, and HD DVD. At the time I bought it I didn't realize the PIP allowed 2 HD signals at the same time which is a really sweet bonus. I had Batman Begins HD along side Jay Leno in HD.

Sound is top notched as well. Currently have sound via the optical card. 2 HDMI inputs is a nice feature.

I got mine off ubid.com for $502 shipped. Well worth the extra money since I'm not getting cable or satellite in the immediate future.

Sounds good. I know Vizio isn't widely known. Did you buy it used??

The 360 will work with a regular TV just fine.

Manufacture refurbished, it's in mint condition. Saved me $200 since it is $699.99 everyday at Sams and Costco.

The ubid auction I got if from had 17 available. I would have gotten it for $480 if ubid didn't have that stupid overtime clause.
