Silver, have you listened to Art Brut yet?
No haven't listened to Art Brut, but they're on the list.
Now that I have Pearl Jam in my hands, that'll probably dominate over the next couple weeks, but I am really liking "The Hardest Way to Make an Easy Living". It's hard to recommend the album in some ways, because The Streets is kind of an acquired taste. More spoken word than flowing raps, heavy cockney accent, and schitzo UK-garage beats add up to a "sound" that a ton of people could (and do) find "unlistenable". I even had a hard time warming up to it at first. But if you stick with it, and really LISTEN, the guy is an amazing writer, with a great attention to detail and an ability to tell a story. I mean, one of the songs on the new album is about, seriously, the BUDGET for a record label promotional campaign/marketing. BUt he manages to make it interesting.
One nice thing is that I'm going to a listening album release party for "Stadium Arcadium" on the 2nd, so we should get advance promo copies. Here's to hoping.I drive a 2005 Toyota Prius Gas/Electric Hybrid. My last tank was 53.6 miles/gallon. Gas prices fear me!

Finished Game of Shadows last week, great book, you'll finish it quickly, it's really fascinating stuff, especially if you hate Bonds like I do.Originally posted by BGarrett7Just ordered Game of Shadowsand Baseball Between The Numbers for a little summer reading.

Arrived in the mail today:

Also, I did it for March, so I figured it would be neat to do for April, as well. So, here is the list of additions to my iTunes playlist for last month.Comment

Re: I Just Picked Up...

I haven't been able to get past song one though. Dani California has me addicted.“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried. We’re talking about on the biggest stage, in New York, playing out of position and asked to hit fourth for the New York Yankees. I mean, that’s never been done.” - Sheffield on SheffieldComment

Re: I Just Picked Up...
I went and looked for the new Neil Young album, but it wasn't at my local record shop or at Circuit City. At the local shop, they were playing Stadium Arcadium. It sounded alright, but if I really wanted funky RHCP I'd go with their early work and if I wanted good pop-funk I'll just put on Californication.
