Haven't picked up anything recently, but I am really looking forward to "Show Your Bones" by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, "Pearl Jam" by Pearl Jam, and "Stadium Arcadium" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers(although if they continue to go the late-career Aerosmith route of ballad pap, I'm done). And of course, the Ranconteurs album-really like that single that's out on iTunes.

Benaroya Hall is a great show, a lot of good covers there.

I completely agree with everything Silverstring said, Pearl Jam and Yeah Yeah Yeahs are at the top of my list, and I'm hoping the RHCP is good but not holding out too much hope.

Another that can be added to that is Mike Garrigan's The Gossman Passion which I received in the mail today. In all honesty, as much as I admire Mike and admire what he is capable of, this CD is not something I forsee listening to more than a handful of times max. It is a 34 minute rock opera whose lyrical content comes verbatim from the New American Bible, and being quite the non-religious person, I'm not sure how I would take to a directly religious project like this. However, I have been getting into a lot of spiritually-based contemporary music lately though, so you never know.

I'm loving The Academy Is, haven't had a chance to listen to Augustana or Teddy Geiger yet though. I'll probably listen to a lot of stuff on that list that I haven't yet at some point today though. I'm actually pretty amped about the Geiger album, I've been hearing some really good things about it, and there's no denying his single has strong Mayer influences so I'm definitely intrigued. As for Augustana, they are a band that I have been hearing nothing but wonderful things about for the longest time. The guys over on the Mike Garrigan board absolutely adore them, so I'm interested to see what they bring to the table.

Anberlin and I am not really feeling it right now. By listening to "paperthin hymn" i thought that the whole cd would have that kinda style to it but i will probably get used to it.

I didn't buy it, but I did rent the movie Derailed starring Clive Owen and Jennifer Aniston. I thought the movie was great. I thought it was a really good thriller. I'd recommend you guys watch it.
