To tell the truth, I thought Vic would of done the same thing Shane did in that situation. Yea, they are some dirty cops but damn, killing one thats close to you should'nt be an option. They all knew Lem was the weakest link but they did all they could, for that entire season to find ways to keep him safe. Even with Undeniable proff that Lem would rat, something tells me Vic would of found a non-violent solution. I know its contradicting what my first sentence says but Vic really trusted Lem.

I don't think that Vic would have killed him, but would have done something else. I bet he could have pursuaded Lem to go to Mexico unlike Shane.
That was the most intense 10 minutes that I have experienced watching TV in a very long time.Comment

Re: The Shield: Season Five
For all you longtime Shield fans: Do you guys remember last year when that black guy last year joined the strike team (working for Aceveda I believe) and ultimately got into a fight with Shane? Then when he was running away in his car, he had a car wreck and went into the hospital with critical injuries.
Well he never died that I recall and nothing more was ever said about him. I wonder if he'll come back in the last season to somehow go up against the team and/or especially takedown Shane and his wife for near-killing him and not reporting it to the police. Just an unresolved plot that we may or may not hear about ever again, thoughts?Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

I think everything ends badly. The Strike Team dissolves, Shane dies, Kavanaugh loses his job, Claudette retires, Dutch becomes captain, Tina dies in the line of duty after making a mistake, Ronnie walks away, and Vic retires.Comment

Re: The Shield: Season Five
So will Season 6 be the last one for The Shield?
As for my impressions of last night's season finale;
- As soon as Shane and Lem were alone I knew things were ending badly for Lem, but I didn't see Shane blowing him up either. That being said, Lem's body was in remarkable shape for having a grenade tossed in his lap.
- Shane's plan was brilliant, especially with that grenade toting El Savadorian out there who has a grudge with the authorities. However, there is a major loose end left open with Becca. How carefully the show dulves into the complexities of Attorney-Client privilege will be interesting to see.
- Did Ronny have more lines last night than in the past 5 seasons? It sure seemed that way to me, I can't ever recall him being so vocal he was usually just there.
- I definitely see a confrontation between Vic and Shane over Lem.Comment

Re: The Shield: Season Five
There are either 11 or 13 episodes coming next year, which ever wasn't this season. One had 11 and the other has 13.
Shawn Ryan has stated next year is the end, but ratings keep climbing, but he feels he doesn't want to ruin what he's created with his characters. He's still 50/50 on season 7. I'm guessing it'll come back for a short season 7.
Tavon is alive and back in his old district, they did wrap it up, he was transferred back. Never shown but it was mentioned. He may come back though, for the life of me, I never thought season 5 would revolve around Terry Crawley who died in the first episode of season 1. The writing on The Shield is some of the tightest and strongest of any show on TV. Everything has a means and it's not done sloppy at all.
My only complaint is about Dutch, they seemed to have a new vision with his character a few seasons ago when he killed that cat. They never really went anywhere with it. I'm wondering if that'll re-appear as last night Dutch began that side again with the hooker and his comments to the rookie girl cop.Comment

Yea, Dutch seems to be heading back to his bad habits. I cant believe he's gonna try to pimp that rook. As for Tavon, he does seem like he'll be back for next season as quite a few guest always return.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

He was a recurring character in Seinfeld as well, I believe. I know for sure he was in at least one episode.Comment
