    Brokeback Mountain

I watched this with my wife last night. It was a very good movie. There were a few scenes that were hard for me to watch, but the overall story and acting were great. Highly recommended, if you're open minded enough.

They show her biddys, which are pretty much perfect, that's about it. Watching this movie with another dude would be quite uncomfortable.

If you haven't already, go watch the unrated cut of "Havoc."

I just don't understand why adultry in a film is a horror/thriller flick if it's a dude and chick ala "Basic Instinct"... but if it's two guys it's a love story????

That's the only theme in the movie that I have an issue with. Not that it's two guys... but that cheating on your wife is in some way OK.

I'll throw it on the Blockbuster Online list cause I'm curious. Is this a good flick to watch w. a girl?

Michael Douglas's character wasn't married in Basic Instinct. But I get what you're saying. I would further voice my opinion on the matter, but methinks this isn't the place for that sort of discourse.

I hear you, but it's not uncommon: look at Horse Whisperer or Bridges Of Madison County.

Basically, in film (or books), infidelity is OK as long as it's really romantic infidelity. And as long as it's the woman doing the cheating. I remember being really offended by Horse Whisperer, whose message seemed to be: it's OK to cheat if your husband's boring.

I'll probably rent it when it comes out on DVD. I don't really see all the controversy about it but then again most people aren't open minded.

I'd say yes, the wifey was fighting back tears at the end. I promptly watched Sin City afterwards, to replenish the testosterone level.
