Not until you mention it. I remember EG took some slightly blurry photos of JG at a gaming table.

At first, I didn't get why they spent so much time on Junior doing his thing in the institution. Now I'm thinking it was foreshadowing: If Tony (like Junior) decides to stop running things one of his guys comes after him.

That's a good point. Junior tried to back off and enjoy life and he paid the consequence. The same thing was happening to Philly. He tried to take a step back and Doc started to take advantage of Phil (taking his steak). Of course, Phil stepped up. Tony seems to be facing the same dilemma.

The theme so far this season has been the conflict between enjoying life and living the gangster lifestyle and dealing with all the stuff that comes with it. I think Tony is torn. It'll be interesting to see how things turn out.

And a new twist that has developed is Tony's gambling problem. The previews indicate that he has sold the land that Carmella was going to put a building on.

Paranoid??? How so?? When Paulie is telilng his life stories to people at the breakfast buffet and talking about murdering a hippie to 2 girls at dinner then it's not paranoid at all to consider the fact that maybe it's time for him to take the dirt nap. This is really the #1 thing in the Mafia that will get you killed, with good reason, it will sink a crew fast if someone is talking a lot, especially to random people.

You're right, but it was still chilling and shocking what Tony was considering doing on that boat.

So far, every single episode has had something to do with trying to enjoy life away from mob life, but getting interrupted by some kind of conflict like you guys mentioned above.

It was creepy that Tony was getting evil thoughts of killing one of his best buddies. I found it so funny when Tony started telling the story about the Napolean painting. I still remember that episode, it was classic.

With 6 episodes left, this is going to be sad after this show is gone. Granted there are tons of filler episodes during the each season, but I have really enjoyed this show. If this whole NY vs. Jersey storyarc happens towards the end of the season, its going to be interesting. With both bosses in a state of disaray, it will could turn out ugly.

I really like your assessment of both bosses being in disarray. I agree that their state of mind is not in the best interest of their families. Either one or both of the NY/NJ families will probably get some collateral damage.

I really liked the juke move in this episode. You thought most of the episode that Paulie was a goner. As much as I dont like Paulie as a person, his character provides comic relief. I would miss him if he left.

But at the end, we saw the NY boss get whacked. But I saw that he was a goner when I saw him take food off of Phil's plate. Kinda funny that that was the last straw for him being taken advantage of.

well, Paulie has always yacked. Just the look on Tony's face the entire episode. Looks like he is feeling things starting to go down hill. Like he knows the end is near.

Tony seemed to have the same expression on his face as he did when he hated A.J. in Season 5 I believe and he told Dr. Melfi he wanted to smash his own son's face.

I get a kick outta that expression. Like Dennis Hopper would say, "and he meant it."
