    Re: Sopranos Season 6

This episode was a bit jumpy but a great deal happened in the family. It looks like the New York vs New Jersey war's first shots will be in two weeks. This is my favorite tv show and I hate that it is coming to an end. I'm really not happy having them skip a week.

This season has been great so far. I wish there was more than two episodes left.

I think other than Tony, AJ has been the most major and interesting character. The scene where he tried to kill himself tonight was for myself maybe the saddest scene in the entire history of the Sopranos.
It truly was sad. Before he even went under, I said this *** doesn't even have the balls to kill himself. I knew he wouldn't succeed in offing himeslf. I think I caught on to the show with either season 4 or 5 and with this hiatus, instead of using my blockbuster online watching the first few seasons of The Wire, i'm going to watch seasons 1-4 of the Sopranos.

It seems like there is a lot to fit into 2 more episodes....

AJ is a huge part of the series. AJ's relationship with his father is one of the most heartbreaking and poignant aspects of the show. The first-son of an Italian family is, like they discussed tonight, the "heart" of the family.

I think other than Tony, AJ has been the most major and interesting character. The scene where he tried to kill himself tonight was for myself maybe the saddest scene in the entire history of the Sopranos.

I think AJ has been a great FOIL for Tony in the series.

I'll see how this season ends but for me my favorite seasons, in order, have been: 3, 1, 5, 4, 2, 6 (Part 1).

I'm really looking forward to the last two episodes. Can't wait.
Yes, I am serious. His character is annoying as hell and adds nothing to the story. And to find out if his sniveling *** will be a gangster or some psychotic lil' bastard going in and out of the hospital now and then is really making me pissed. On top of that, they did this story way too late. They wasted his dumb *** character away all the other seasons. This storyline should've happened a long time ago.

I don't want heartbreaking or anything. I got that with Adriana a couple seasons ago. That was enough heartbreaking I needed.

I enjoyed Season 1 most of all as well due to it's "Godfatheresque" ending. All the loose ends were tied up and there weren't really that many questions going into season 2.

Last night, as usual, was great.

For the more straight-up mob stuff, Seasons 1 and 2 will outshine the others. But the show, IMO, hit its stride with the headier stuff beginning in season 3 and on. It went from being a great mafia show to one of the best, period.

Powerful episode. Iler did a great acting job, last night. Glad AJ didn't succeed in killing himself. That scene was scary.

The NY/NJ war is going to be nasty. Phil is unrelenting and I don't know how both he and Tony will be able to survive it.

Phil reminded me of a kid sitting up in his tree fort telling Anthony that he can't come up to play. It was really weird.

I really think that newfound understanding of Chris's condition is going to push Tony over the edge. Its tough to judge this show though...so many red herrings they throw. Bobby's botched murder, T's gambling, T/Hesh conflict, AJ looking like he enjoyed hurting a guy in one episode then crying about "just getting along" the next. The writers are really keeping us on our toes with all the misdirection.

Did anyone else find it funny that AJ's crew were all bigots...but had nothing but rap blaring at every scene (Both parties, and both times they were hanging out at the house)
That makes a lot of sense.

This second half has been just excellent if you ask me and no filler episodes either which is great.

I think that is an excellent analogy. Phil is scared to death of Tony, and I think the scene depicted how weak Phil really is. The buildup to this NJ/NY war is way overhyped because all of the most powerful bosses are gone from NY. Johnny Sack was more intimidating than Phil.

Yeah I agree, unless the last episode like Season 4 is an hour and a half.

Was there a preview of the next episode last night? If so could someone describe it. In Canada we never get the preview, it's so annoying. Thanks.

Phil is weak, a very weak man. He hides behind his power and he showed it in last nights episode. Phil won't get his hands dirty like Tony and that will be Phil's downfall.

Me too-I'm not really getting into the AJ stuff. If his death or suicide serve as a catalyst for Tony's rage then so be it.
