now would be a good time to pick them up. ive got seasons 1-3 already. I think im going to get the rest of them. btw, watching them again really shows how great the show truly is. It has to be one of the most well done shows in the history of television.

they are going to try to sell a lot of DVDs. That makes me think that Tony will survive. What sells more DVDs?...a dead Tony Soprano, or a Tony Soprano that lives? The entire show is about the Soprano family. I dont think any of the Sopranos will die (except for Junior). They will sell more DVDs if the Sopranos survive the finale.

one thing that would be funny is if there is a dream sequence where Christopher comes back to life and kills Tony with a cleaver at 3 o'clock.

The show has been pretty dark lately, but leave it to Chase do the unexpected. I expect some tragedy including the death of Silvio.
        The Sports Reporters SOPRANOS predictions:
Mitch Album-Someone in Tony's immediate family gets whacked and Tony ends up in a jail cell.
Bob Ryan-Something that will have everybody unhappy(the viewers). Tony will have a fair chance of surviving in some miserable state.
Mike Lupica-calls himself a "gangster half full guy"-thinks Tony will survive because nobody will blow the chance of a feature film down the road, and he just wants Paulie Walnuts to make it to the end of the show.

I don't think it would matter.

Example: Tony Montana is an iconic character. Scarface on home video is a license to print money, and not only was Montana killed, but shot in the back.

Let's get a few predictions going to pass the time for the next 8 hours or so.

Here's my prediction. I've read no spoilers and know nothing about the Finale. If you do know about the Finale DON"T POST IT

Paulie turns on Tony and joins Phil's crew
Tony kills both Phil and Paulie
The series ends with Tony around his pool and the Ducks return.
Just for a laugh, I'd love to see Tony walk over to the Cusimano's and asks for the package back

                  My prediction:
                  Tony survives
                  Silvio dies
                  Paula proves most loyal
                  Philly and Butch are whackees

Seven hours...have the gravy simmering, the polenta chilling, and the house smells fantastic!

                    Predictions:

Paulie isn't a rat, but he will flee when the ish hits the fan. He was Johnny Boy's driver, and never got a top job, and does just enough to avoid being whacked.

Silvio will die, but that's a given, IMO.

I think the family will survive (Carm, Meadow, and A.J.) with some conditions regarding Tony, so I have two thoughts:

1)Tony lives, but a misplaced hit takes out his immediate family (maybe Janice). Leaving Tony all alone...no crew, no family, no shrink. He might flip in the end.

2)Tony dies at the hands of one of two people...A.J. or Janice. Janice has always had it in for Tony, and now that Bobby died, she's even more pissed (having to raise three kids alone!). For A.J., he's never wanted his dad's life, and since Tony was kind of weak and just followed in Johnny Boy's footsteps as opposed to standing up to him (look at how he actually hates his line of work), and A.J. will realize this and either tip off someone or kill his dad himself.

I think the lazy eyed goof will die, and Phil will die ONLY if Carmine spills the beans.

Patsy Parisi may or may not make an appearance, and hell, I wouldn't put it past him to kill Tony, after all, his twin was killed by T in the first season.

On the Howard Stern show this week, Howard said he thought Paulie would flip and take out Tony for Phil. It's a sound theory IMO since Paulie's been passed over and is made out to be the village idiot at times.

He also been the village idiot of NY... no way Paulie flips.

The hours are counting down. I don't watch much TV shows expect this religiously so this is like the Super Bowl of TV Shows for me if not bigger.

Here's the scoop of the century. The series ends with the beginnings of a gun battle between the Soprano crew and Phil. The screen goes black.

In 19 months, taking a cue from Seventh Heaven, David Chase announces one more season before the end of the series.

Yep. Its not even an issue for me. Sopranos > NBA.

I already spent a nice bit of cash this weekend picking up seasons 1 & 2 of the Sopranos, season 1 of The Wire, & The Hitcher (never saw the new version). I'm tempted to run back to Best Buy & grab 3 & 4. Like someone else said, HBO series don't come cheap on DVD.
