I thought something happened to the TV........or HBO........LOL!

I guess the ending was that they were going to eat dinner as a family. They kept on hinting that Tony was going to get hit by the dude in the America hat first as they showed him twice, then the dude that went to the can looked like he was up to something as he walked in with AJ, then the black dudes that came in, and finally as Meadow was running to the restaurant I almost thought that something was going to happen.

The HBO Sopranos forums aren't even loading their servers are getting hit so hard.

the last scene was pretty damn tense though

wow, so i guess that bwas it. i too thought it was my tv. its still snking in that the past 8 years of watching this show culminated with that. the whole episode only drew more question marks as opposed to any type of closure. i need to ponder wtf. just happened.

Anyone have a clue what the ending was supposed to mean? I have no idea who any of the people in the show are(only tony), so I have no idea what it meant.

You ain't kidding. That's definitely why they left it open ended. Nonetheless, I think we'd all like some closure.

Just the thought of someone backhanding their child because they thought they changed the channel only to realize that that was the actual ending is pretty humorous.

That chick is Tony's daughter Meadow. I read that they had shot 3 different endings and it makes me wonder when it blacked out that this was the place for those endings.

Did I get a desired ending? Not really. But wow, what a freakin' ride!!

Chase is known for throwing in little hints at the Godfather in the episodes. I think that last scene was reminiscent of the scene where Michael kills Sollozzo and the cop. He goes to the bathroom, then comes out and starts firing. I think this is exactly what Chase wanted. I wasn't really expecting any kind of closure in this.
