no it isn't. This is why they made an open ending. It gets people to pick up on things differently to make their own ending. Some people see things laid out as him getting shot. Others will see it differently.

the ending was vintage Sopranos. In this show, everything doesnt get all tied up nice and neat. Everything doesnt have closure.
It's going to be funny hearing all of the talk about it. I imagine most people will hate it. personally, i thought it was great. All and all it was a very good finale imo to a very good final season of one of the best shows of all time.Last edited by ZB9; 06-10-2007, 09:56 PM.Comment

no one pulled a gun. no one did anything.
imo, they were showing how intense Tony has to be at all times and how he is probably going to have to have "eyes in the back of his head" for the rest of his life. He never knows if its going to come, or from where its going to come. He is never safe and is always looking over his shoulder. I think Tony was arrested if anything. In all the mob hits i can recall (on the show) its been enter- kill the person and leave. Not sit around, wait for the family to come in and then do it. The strongest evidence leads to the arrest for the ending in my opinion.
I didn't care for the open ending myself and i imagine that is the majority. I think after investing 60-70 hours into the show, people want a clear conclusion.Gamertag and PSN Name: RomanCaesarComment

Interesting post from the HBO website. I know it's been mentioned already, just thought I'd throw it out there.Not my favorite moment was the ending. I believe Tony is dead. He was shot in the head while watching Meadow come in the rest. Like they always talked about, you never hear it coming, and when you die everything just goes black, kind of like when they put you to sleep right before surgury.PS4: aBayBates

Most finales i think people are ok with- friends, MASH, Six Feet Under and on and on. The major shows with weak or holes in it seem to feel the wrath- IE Seinfeld, X Files, Sopranos, Rome (OK Rome and X Files at least pissed me off- Come On did Vorenius die?)Gamertag and PSN Name: RomanCaesarComment

It can't be stressed enough that there was no way to end this show in the corny sitcom method where everything is tied up and everyone is happy. That's not what this show has ever been about.Comment
