Saigon is gonna be the new 50, which sorta disappoints me b/c Saigon has been one of my favorite rappers for the past three years.
Cameras or guns, one of them is gonna shoot me to death.

Meh. Song had minimal substance, wasn't a head bopper to me neither.

uh uh... no way in hell... I couldn't stand Just Blaze before. I can't even understand the appeal... just recently he is throwing in moans/voices with some added complexity... he still lacks a "bass-tune" which is something I almost always look for in a great beat now.

I'm also not a fan of the violin/piano approach in production. Just not for me that's all.

I feel like with producers, people overlook a lot of music or maybe just have different taste than me... I think the latter is the most true... because I don't think many will agree with me here... but my most prime example is J-Dilla... before 2003 he was pretty much trash IMO, save for "Runnin'" by Pharcyde and a few others (like a few tracks on Like Water for Chocolate ... "The Light" and "Thelonius" come to mind) but yuck... it took him time to get in the groove.

Even 9th Wonder wasn't very special when he started out... I wasn't a fan of The Listening at all... I liked 6 songs. But every year he gets better... and now I think he's the Greatest.

                That's just me.

co-sign....Just Blaze is one of the most versatile producers ever. He can pretty much do any type of song and he can do it well. I don't get how anyone can say that he's just now improving. Some of his best work came years ago (The Blueprint, and Freeway's album for example). But then again I think 9th Wonder's is getting worse every year.

LOL see I think Freeway is a joke and so was his album...

Blueprint? Please. Can't stand Jiggaman nor the album as well...

Different strokes for different folks eh? What's so hard to get about that?

I don't know what you're listening to if you can say that 9th gets worse every year.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

9th needs a new drum pattern. He got better but sometimes his beats get boring. Like his beats on the Chemistry album with Buckshot. I don't feel all of Just Blaze's beat but I use to lose it whenever I heard "What We Do" by Freeway or "Girls, Girls, Girls" by Jay-Z.

If I had to pick a favorite 9th beat it would be "Love Joint Revisited" or "Hiding Place" from the Little Brother albums. Also the song he did on the Saigon mixtape "Dreams" was really good. Speaking of Saigon, I think his whole album is produced by Just Blaze. Should be interesting.

HA, too bad the rest of the chemistry album was wack. 9th even said himself all of those beats were rejects from other projects. Dope track tho..
