    Artist: Brand Nubian
    Album: Time's Runnin' Out
Producers: Vance Wright; Lord Jamar; Grand Puba; DJ Alamo
    Release Date: August 17, 2007

A pretty enjoyable effort by the legendary undergrounders Brand Nubian which happened to actually be their reunion album, and NOT 1998 Album of the Year "Foundation". Some of the songs on this album could have bumped "Foundation" to classic status, but to an extent Lord Jamar and Grand Puba are not great producers, and not too many songs are "Gosh, damn" status, and a few songs are pretty yuck. It doesn't stop them from making some of the finest gems our ears have ever heard. I've listened to "Girls, Girls, Girls" which is produced by DJ Alamo 58 times already. And it's been 2 weeks.

Sadat X gets pretty tiresome on the album because his rhyme scheme isn't one of his strongs points. It's much more exposed on this album with the more simpler Puba/Jamar beats, and his verse isn't even very good on the Song to Download of the Year Track. Grand Puba is still legendary. If only he was that amazing on his solo efforts. Still, all in all, group work theoretically get the better ratings because of the nice balance it provides. This album is still really enjoyable. 87% is a good grade fellas... just think about getting an 87 in college. I'd be thrilled.

        Straight from Phonte's mouth...

I was just informed by my label tonight that 'Getback' has been pushed back to the wonderful date of 10/23. It may reach iTunes and other digital outlets earlier, but....eh....

        *long sigh*

        I'm over this ****.

All I ever wanted was for my music to be heard. If it was solely up to me, I'd throw up a zshare laink for y'all to download tonight, rather than leave it in the hands of people seemingly hellbent on ****ing up what many have called our best and most complete record to date. I never understood how animals could eat their young until now.

It's a very frustrating thing to know that the album of your career is basically D.O.A, therefore I'm letting go. Chillin out. Pressing reset. Taking the time to finish up my 80's EP with Zo, polish off the new FE **** with Nicolay, assist in mixing my brother Pooh's record, and spend some time with my family. As an artist, I vow to keep creating, keep recording, and keep releasing new music, but I refuse to keep puttin my energy into Getback when we're surrounded by lies, half-truths, and incompetence on the label's end. Why keep nursing a stillborn baby?

To all our fans, thanks for the support. It really means alot.

I'm taking some time off and going somewhere it ain't no mosquitoes at © Hov

        Peace and Love,

Well he knows that it's going to be leaked alot sooner, especially since the album was ready to come out.

I got the new Pete Philly and Perquisite album and it's great. At first I didn't like some of the songs but I've been listening to it non-stop all morning.

Yeah that album is great. I had to force myself to stop listening to it so that I wouldn't get sick of it too fast.
