    Artist: Hi-Tek
    Album: Hi-Teknology 3
Featuring: Lil Tone; Ghostface; Raekwon; Dion; Rem Dog; Push Montana; Lep; Count; Big D; M-1; Little Brother; Jonell; Talib Kweli
    Release Date: December 11th, 2007

There are a lot of gems on here. Nothing that makes a memorable album, but it will give you some nice material to bump. I also prefer the "Step It Up" REMIX over the original. Hi-Tek's protege Dion gets to show off his voice more in the remix. Dion is all over this album even teaming up with Talib Kweli. Kweli kills with lines like "Set the record straight, don't exaggerate when I say / I BE GETTIN SOME HEAD, from phony rappers i DECAPITATE"

M-1 from Dead Prez makes an appearance on another amazing song "Handling My Bizness". Warning... Extremely catchy. You will not by any means get this song out of your head for the entire day if you listen to it.

However the best song on here is "Kill You" by Push Montana. Hi-Tek rocks the instrumental on that one so you have to kind of give it more credit due to this being a PRODUCER album. God, Thankyou so much for Producer albums.

Hi-Tek does just what I expected. He surprises you on every album with a few "The Blast"-esque songs and then torments you with mainstream sounding garbage that could have been left off the album and saved the A-grade. Still people... get this. You'll be happy you did.

          Artist: Edgar Allen Floe
Album: Floe Almighty - The Remixture
Produced By: Blunt; Khrysis; Slicemysta; Word 3rd Productions; 9th Wonder
          Release Date: November 13th

Edgar Allen Floe point blank is one of the very best out there in the hip-hop game today. You won't find a better combination of wordplay, flow, and hook-making in a rapper than listening to EA Floe. It's pretty safe to say that he gets some of the best producers out there as well such as 9th Wonder, Khrysis, and my latest fave who recently hit the scene... Blunt.

It's hard to say which was better. The original or the remixture. The original was fresh because all of EA's lyrics were new to us, but I gotta say I wouldn't have been disappointed if these were the beats chosen. It's still very hard to say considering "Floe Almighty" the original was crowned FOUR's (fans of underground rap) "Mixtape of the Year" in 2006.

What got me extremely interested in this album was that the beat made for his freestyle on the album made it sound like a written song made to let a brotha know who's business. I'm skeptical just because it's so amazing. Really though, if that's a freestyle... all freestylers need to hang it up and retire.

Oh and on Floe Shoutouts... the original beat my Slicemysta (Edgar Allen Floe) is re-issued here but in place of the interlude, EA Floe rewards his listeners with straight bar-spitting for two and a half minutes. This remixture is a must have. I bought it for $9.99. I don't care how you guys get it. Just get it.

Quick question, are we eventually gonna get sued for getting so many albums of albumhunt, albumbase or whatever? Kinda too good to be true. The thought of buying a album is almost sickening to me right now. I do buy my favorite artist though.

              I buy cd's

I also delete a lot of bad albums whole, and a lot of bad songs. I reward the good albums by buying them.

I think you'll be fine with albumhunt, but I try to spread support as often as I can.

                Artist: CunninLynguists
                Album: Dirty Acres
                Produced By: Kno
                Release Date: December 7th

The voices of CunninLynguists are your typical deep south. Natti closely resembles Bun B but has more of a baby-making mellowness to it. The concept was layed down nicely. Dirty (tough) living in the dirty south. The beats by Kno are exceptional and they capture the whole enigma of CunninLynguists' sound.

"Dirty Acres", the title track, gets the ball rolling fast after a strong introduction and 2nd track. It's easily in my mind one of the best beats of the year. Hypnotizing to say the least. Then it keeps going from there with no sudden drop-offs. Nothing ground-breaking as far as lyrics go, but the release was well-timed. The last month or so has been moseying along and chill albums like this set the mood right when there's nothing else new to listen to.

Thumbs up to CunninLynguists who've had a nice 2007, dating back to the Qn5 Asterisk 4 Mixtape.

I don't think we have to worry about getting sued. I once got an email from the RIAA saying I had 48 hours to delete all my illegal songs or I would be prosecuted. I was like "yeah whatever they have no clue what I've downloaded or if I've downloaded at all." Then I scrolled down and saw a list containing the name of every song I had downloaded lol. But all you have to do is create a new folder and move your songs there. Download programs can only track the designated folder that it sends the files to by default so if you move the files to a different folder, you're all good.

                          Re: fans of underground rap?

I know it's not an R&B thread, but Jaheim's a big reason I made a shift to listening to R&B/hip-hop. He's got a new CD and when I hopped on albumhunt.com it was on the front page and I had to download it.

It's his 4th album...and he went back to what made me like him so much. His debut CD "Ghetto Love" was a CLASSIC. So many great songs with awesome vocals and lyrics and the music fit perfect.

He then came out with "Still Ghetto" as his 2nd album and it was pretty damn good as well. You all probably remember "Put that woman first" which was a new version of some Scarface song I think. Anyways that was another quality CD.

Then came "Ghetto Classics". I have never been more disappointed in a CD than that. I remember two consecutive songs that started out something like this....
Song 1: "I walked up in the club"....followed by a horrible song
Song 2: "Stepped up in the club"....again, absolutely horrible

Now his 4th CD "Making of a man". Should've kept the Ghetto streak alive and put like "The Ghetto Making of a Man" haha

But seriously....he went back to his roots. The CD has that old school sound with him belting out vocals all CD long. It's a huge difference when you hear his voice and everyone else's. Other people kinda blend in with the music but Jaheim just soars above it. Anyways...the songs!

I think there are 5 quality songs out of 11.
                          Just Don't Have a Clue
                          Hush

                          She Ain't You
                          Lonely

That's just my personal preference though. I don't even like his "single" - Never.

I'm just really happy he went back to what made him such a success. His voice is AMAZING!
