          The 2007 FOUR Awards

Song to Download of the Year

"Violent" - Sean Price (Produced by 9th Wonder)

This was the exact remedy needed for Sean Price's less-than-stellar Jesus Price Supastar which failed to meet many expectations as being one of the best albums to be released during 2007. No worries after listening to track 6 "Violent" which features 9th Wonder as the producer. After "Bye Bye" and "Heartburn" turned out to be some of Sean P's best songs on "Monkeybarz" it was a wise choice to go after 9th for more production.

The lyrics aren't deep, but that's what makes the song as good as it is. Sean Price likes to appear hard while simultaneously joking about it, which he does on "Violent" and it makes for a great combination. The hook vocals are incredible, while Price simply says "It's Violent" which may be very simple, but nevertheless makes a very effective hook that could be on repeat for a long time.

It has 196 plays for me currently... the most on my playlist. Next highest is 161 plays from "Saved" by 9th Wonder, Saigon, and Joe Scudda.

XCell, that Sean Price album was one of my favorites from '07.

Violent and Heartburn are still in my rotation. Classic songs already.

"This Beat is just so cool..." - Sean Price(Violent)

              Got that right Price.

XCell, some are giving productions credits for "Heartburn" to Khrysis. I don't have the retail album. If you purchased it, or if anyone else has, who do the credits go to 9th or Khrysis?

well actually... "Heartburn" is definitely 9th Wonder's but "Bye Bye" is both Khrysis and 9th Wonder.

3rd Answer... I liked the album a lot too, but there are many lists out there that included Jesus Price Supastar as let-down album of the year.
