9th has been getting alot better recently. He's switched up his sound a bit.

Which song? I don't remember hearing it before.

Edit: Nevermind I know what song now. It sounded different for some reason.

What is up with that? Is that on a major label? I've heard rumblings that Murs has gone commercial and the new album will be a big disappointment to his long-time fans.

I think Murs For President will be on Warner Bros., but Murray's Revenge is on Record Collection. He may have gone commercial, but the track I heard off it (Better Than The Best) is same old Murs. The beat is hot, I'm still trying to find out who did it. I'm thinkin its ol' 9th again.

                        The FOUR Awards

                        Rookie of the Year:

                        Jozeemo

Jozeemo was around in 2006 but we only got a little glimpse at the end of the year at what kind of talent this guy possessed. He would definitely be a top contender for top-Rook come 2007, but before we knew the name Jozeemo, he was incarcerated, and before that, he was tearing up the North Carolina "battle-rap" scene. He WAS around, but perfecting himself. I'm willing to bank that we are hearing him at the right time instead of a raw-rapper from East Durham at a younger age.

But all of that doesn't matter today. What matters was his terrific first street album, which exemplifies his battle rapping nature and his top-notch flow. We saw a lackluster mixtape drop very early in 2007, but it had some gems that had tremendous replay value. "Standup Durham" was my boy Casey's favorite song. He's a soft-rock fan too. That song got him through an entire trip from Albany to Fairfield in the 'cut. Impressive

Durham has been tremendous this year and a lot of the success stems from Joziggy. Along with his own work, he propelled others to new heights with his floetry. "That Ain't Love" from Getback... "It Ain't Over" from Dream Merchant 2... "What is Hip-Hop" from The Breeding Ground. All in all there was a lot of material in 2007 to enjoy from Jozeemo who most definitely eclipsed the success of last year's ROY Skyzoo. Hell, J.M. could have made a good run for Artist of the Year, which sure as hell ain't out of reach for the coming years.

He's even got the entourage to pull it off. He knows LB (obviously), 9th, Evidence, Don Cannon, Illmind, Khrysis, Sean Price, Joe Scudda, and Carlitta Durand. He knows Kal-Royale, O.C., Skaz Digga and K-Hill. All star-studded names when it comes to the grand musical genre of Underground Hip-Hop.

I'm leavin' yall with a 5-track taste of Joziggy (flowithme)... enjoy...

"Stand Up / Durham Anthem" ... Blockhuggerz Unlimited
"What is Hip-Hop" - prod. by Khrysis ... The Breeding Ground
"It Aint Over" ft. Jozeemo & Tyler Woods - 9th Wonder ... Dream Merchant 2
"That Ain't Love" ft. Jozeemo - Little Brother (prod. by Illmind) ... Get Back
"Didnt Wanna Leave" ft. Kal Royale - prod. by K-Hill ... Cry Now L.A.F. Later

NY's Finest is an upcoming album by hip-hop producer Pete Rock.[1] The album will be Rock's first studio album since 2004's Soul Survivor II and is currently expected to be released in January 2008 through the Nature Sounds label. The first single is "914", featuring Lox members Styles P and Sheek Louch, and its B-side "The PJs" (featuring Wu-Tang Clan members Raekwon and Masta Killa). A third track, "Gangsta Boogie" featuring Slum Village, was also been leaked onto the internet but did not make the final cut. As with previous Pete Rock albums, the album features an array of guest artists, and prior to its completion, Rock expressed interest in collaborating with rappers such as Papoose, Method Man, Redman, Fat Joe, D-Block, Lupe Fiasco, Slum Village, MF DOOM, Jim Jones, Raekwon, Masta Killa, Cappadonna & Ghostface Killah. The album also sees Rock rapping on 5 songs.

                          1. Pete Intro
                          2. We Roll feat. Jim Jones, Max B
                          3. 'Till I Retire
                          4. 914 feat. Styles P, Sheek Louch
                          5. Questions feat. Royal Flush
                          6. Best Believe feat. Redman
                          7. Ready Fe War feat. Chip Fu, Renée (of Zhane)
                          8. Don't Be Mad
                          9. Bring Y'all Back feat. Masta Ace, Wordsworth, Phonte, Joe Scudda
                          10. The Best Secret feat. Lords Of The Underground
                          11. That's What feat. Rell
                          12. The PJ's feat. Raekwon, Masta Killa
                          13. Made Man
                          14. Let's Go feat. Doo Wop
                          15. Comprehend feat. Papoose

Track 9 is going to be legendary. In fact I've hyped it up for myself so much that if it's anything less than legendary I am going to be severely disappointed. You got Pete Rock... amazing producer, with 2 of the greatest undergrounders in hip-hop (IMO) and 2 decent emcees beside them. "Bring Y'all Back" FTW!!!
