i don't think Mos is underground either... I posted that almost to poke fun at him... I don't see that album being any good imo... if he keeps going the same route he has... dear God.

Hey I have faith! Kanye will give him something decent. I haven't liked anything he's put out for quite some time now.. sigh.

You mean album-wise or songs in general? The stuff he's been featured on is usually with his old Mos style.

Oh cool yeah I loved him on both Let it Go's original and remix. I'm about to get his collection the one with all the unreleased tracks or whatever. I haven't heard those Love Rain or Crooklyn tracks, but I'll get em.

That new Pete Rock album NY's Finest has finally dropped and damn... once again he reminds me why he's clearly my favorite producer of all time. I would say that this album is better than the original Soul Survivor album from '98 and way better than the mildly disappointing SS II album that dropped in '04.

Also copped KRS-One's Adventures in Emceein. The issue with KRS has never been with the lyrics but with quality production/beats that is often lacking on his albums. However, I can say that the beats on this album are not bad. Now this is not an outstanding album production-wise, but certainly better than average overall in my opinion. Be sure to check out the latest work from who Nas himself says on the album, "the greatest emcee of all time". Good album.

Don't think it's better than the first Soul survivor but it blows away the second one where he was experimenting with the filter cutoff a bit too much...

love NY Finest though. it ain't the best "sample sounding record" but it is the most honest and well putt togtehr albums I've heard in awhile from any rap veteran.

Don't be made a non pete rock produced track by Green lantern of all things too is one of the hottest on the album though. i love hearin pete spit on the tracks like that. he kills most rappers with the bragadocious rhyme

That Love Rain remix is OFF THE CHAIN but it's definitely not new unfortunately. Now that you guys mention it, I guess Mos has been slippin a bit. He's got a small part on Kanye's "Drunken Hot Girls"... not really even worth mentioning. As for kinda sorta new stuff, he had two songs on the Chapelle show (one with Talib and I think the other with Kanye?) and both of those were hot.

One song that I don't know how many people heard is Mos and Macy Gray, I've Committed Murder on the Jazzmatazz II cd. Love that song.

The one on the Chapelle show, is it "Another World"?

And I haven't heard the Macy Gray track yet.. I'll have to check it out too.

No it's not Another World. I have that one on the box set and I got that before the Chapelle Show episode. Let me see if I can find it.

Ahh, the song is "What's Beef"

                                On a old school note:

Anybody here listen to MC Ren or The D.O.C. I did alot of old-school downloads last week, and MC Ren's "F*** What You Heard" has got to be my favorite song right now.
