The dude who brought you 2007's MIXTAPE OF THE YEAR!!!...

    P.A. (Prince Ali)

Some strong appearances, and some weak ones. Prince Ali doesn't really shine on this one like he did on "I Miss 1994". He still has some songs that could get heavy rotation, but I didn't like the overall effort. Disappointment...

I sent it to mine. But we're close anyways so it's cool.

This one has the punch line at the end but to me it didn't even compare to The Waitress.

Here are my top 5 off the album:
      1) Puppets - build up and beat and background female are perfect
      2) Wild Wild Horses - love to story and and chorus/beat
      3) The Waitress - as discussed, it's the most emotional track on the album IMO
      4) Guarantees - one take? Talk about nailing it.
      5) Yesterday - I love the piano and the story hits close to home

I am thoroughly impressed with the album and the new sound they gave us.
Guarantees is one of those songs I can just listen to all day

I haven't been an atmosphere fan in the past but the CD is pretty solid. I like the mellowness of it

Little Brother and Joe Scudda were at my school today. They did a little concert and it was pretty dope. Phonte is hilarious. I will post pics as soon as I get them off of my friends camera.

Don't get me wrong I like the new Atmosphere album, but I was kind of expecting to love it a little more then I am right now. I need to give it some more listens. Hopefully I'll be heading to his show in Portland on May 12th.

            Songs I'm enjoying right now:

1.Puppets ( love when the drums kick in)
2.Guarentees ( will go up with the top Atmosphere songs for me personally)
3.Yesterday (same reason as all, so easy to relate to)
4.Your Glass house (story reminds me of an old best friend)

Talib Kweli performed here the other day. He was tight. On his music, his flow seems kinda awkward at times, it's like he struggles to find beats that fit him at times. But live in person his flow is FURIOUS. I mean, he's tremendous! He just destroyed the mic!

We had Yung Joc and Trey Songz too. Joc sucks, he performed for like an hour. Then Trey Songz performed for over an hour, him and his girly songs, all the girls were creaming themselves when he took his shirt off to reveal his 165 lb frame. By the time he was done, half the crowd was gone. But Kweli came on and just put in work. He performed for like 30 mins and once he left, everyone that was still there was screaming for an encore.

I hate Joc. Trey Songz is overrated...tough to say for me because he's from VA.

Haven't heard much about Kweli except "Get By"...which is pretty well known and a great song.

you deserve to hear more if that's your deepest exposure to Kweli. The Reflection Eternal/Train of Thought album he did with Hi-Tek is a classic.

Although I am a hardcore Little Brother fan, I think I've been exposed to more Talib Kweli than them easily. There is so much you're missing Jess.

Buckshot is going REALLY HARD as of late. His floetry on those two songs ("Hold It Down" and "Go All Out") are pretty legit. The beats are also AWESOME
