I'm so far behind but just grabbed Kindle Unlimited - may see what they have on there before moving back to comoxiology (sp?). I really miss KAT for times like this.

Did you know Peyton Manning died in a comic book?

Okay okay, it's not the real Peyton Manning but there was a character by that name that was killed in an old issue of Teen Titans. I had a good guffaw over that.

I'm finally caught up. Just finished Secret Empire not to long ago. Avengers No Surrender has begun. Despicable Deadpool has been.... interesting. Poor Wade.

Loved Deadpool's story during/after Secret Empire. Not liking No Surrender so far. Meanwhile, DC's doing some really interesting stuff with Doomsday Clock.

Secret Empire was pretty good. I actually just finished reading Secret Wars and it was a really fun read. Currently reading some Black Panther so I can be more knowledgeable going into the movie.

DC has a lot of great stuff going on right now. Aquaman is in a solid story, Green Arrow has had some pretty big twists, Justice League is must-read stuff.

Aquaman has been consistently good. I think Doomsday Clock is going to get really good with the Superman theory/the ramifications of that.

If you guys aren't reading Dark Knights Metal you're missing out.

Also read the stand alone Dark Batmen issues as they give backstory on each one. The Batman Who Laughs was twisted man...

Dark Knights Metal is absolutely fantastic. Along with the Dark Batmen issues, you should also read the other comics that tie in (if you aren't already), like an issue of Nightwing, issue of Green Arrow, issue of Teen Titans, etc.

But the issue focused on The Batman Who Laughs has one of my all-time favorite Joker panels.

Just got done reading Magneto: Testament.

It's absolutely incredible. It's a Magneto origin story of sorts, focusing solely on his experiences during the Holocaust. It doesn't show him using his powers at all, and it was perfect.

It was historically accurate, and visually accurate, and that made it sort of jaw-dropping and difficult to read in some places, but I highly, highly recommend it.

One of the reviews on Amazon said if you took Magneto's name off of this, it would just be about a kid trying to survive one of the most unimaginable events in human history.

I'll have to look for this. I've always thought Magneto's background and history is one of the most interesting in all superhero comics.

I don't have enough good words for it. The art isn't fantastic, but it's not bad. As far as accuracy, they didn't hold anything back when it comes to portraying the sort of things that happened at the camps. I'd definitely say it's actually more of a mature read.

Metal has been fun. Crazy, wild, unrealistic fun. The Dark Batmen issues have been good. ( I loved Red Death.) Can't wait (until March... ) to see how it ends/what its ramifications will be.

DC recently introduced the 'New Age of Heroes' in which they've created new characters.

Damage, Sideways, Silencer, The Immortal Men, The Terrifics, among a few others.

Damage seems like a military-based Hulk. Sideways seems pretty cool, he can rip open rifts and travel between dimensions at will.

I'll be reading Sideways at least for a couple issues, see how it turns out.

I've read Damage and Sideways and I plan to check out Terrifics. Damage is pretty Hulk-like. The first issue didn't really grab me, though. Sideways is very promising. He's being called DC's Spiderman and I like the comparison. I think he has a lot of potential.
