Yeah that's what I saw too, and my comics and superhero's is a place I don't want to see politics, it's almost everywhere in this day and time. Comics on the other hand should be an escape from that area.

Maybe it's just me, but $.99 still seems like too much to be spending per issue of a digital comic. That's close to what I'd expect it to be at regular price (but still more) but this is the sale price? $20 bucks for 11 digital issues? You could get away with that with physical copies, at least then there's the chance they appreciate in value.

Yes but I didn't get to this weeks yet. I read Suicide Squad...then had to get Ressurection Man because it continued in that. Still gotta read Fatale and I got that space anthology thing too. Also bought 5 issues from the Fables sale to see if that's any good.

I don't mind the prices, there's nowhere else for me to get them and there's no tax.

          Re: Comic Book Fans....

Goh, you've brought up something that irritates me about DC right now, it seems they're trying to interconnect ALL the books to each other in some way thus forcing a fan of one particular book to go out and read a book they may not be interested in. I think that's a good idea when done in isolation but they've been doing that with a number of titles. I shudder to think how much extra the average reader has to shell out just to get the full context of their preferred character/book.

The Superboy/Teen Titans titles are the worst in this regard at the moment though i've decided to stop reading SB and never had any interest in Teen Titans so that's ok.

I see what you are saying but for convenience sake (being able to buy them on my phone while I'm on the train) and the price that gets converted with me paying in British Pounds makes it pretty affordable.

I skipped the Avengers sale and bought Whedon's Astonishing X-Men run that I had never read. Still keeping up with Batman (excellent!) and getting ready for Issue 100 of The Walking Dead.

I like the 99 cent sales myself. Sure I wish it was cheaper but it works well for me. I can buy 2 or 3 arcs at a time instead of going to a B and M store every month. I have enjoyed the Avengers deals. Bought way to many but got my fixMy only real issue is starting to be memory on the IPAD. I shouldve went with the 64 GB. Lesson learned.

It'd be nice to see some Owl success. They've clearly had them based on the "there's a lot of red there" comment but they're pretty much all getting beat down easily. Though with what happens in Nightwing perhaps "it's all a part of the plan."

Haven't read comics in awhile but really enjoy reading on my tablet now after catching up with The Walking Dead. I just caught up with Avengers vs X-men and i'm in the middle of the Wolverine and the Xmen which all have been good.

I don't really care for Superhero comics. I like gritty and unpredictable. I enjoy The Darkness, Walking Dead, and the more obscure ones. I did however enjoy the Marvel Zombies series.

Today's issue of Smallville was really good IMO, seeing a bit of the direction Lex is headed to the introduction of Hank Henshaw and another nod at Christopher Reeve and his character he played on Smallville Virgil Swann.

I really enjoyed the Amory Wars. Its great as a companion to Coheeds albums but stands on its own as a series. I saw Stephen Kings new dark Tower Series prequel/sequal and I need to finish the Dark Tower graphic novels as well.

Also in the same universe is WitchBlade. Actually there's a lot of Top Cow comics that's really good. Same with Dark Horse.
