Re: Comic Book Fans....
The Walking Dead TV Show got me back into comics....mainly Image's "Walking Dead" comic, but now I am also interested in the Mass Effect and Gears of War comics too.
Anyone here read the GOW and ME comics?Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Question for you guys in the know. Just got me new IPad and I am going to use the DC app for it. It looks like most of the new 52 comics are 1.99 except for the current which are 2.99. Have you guys ever seen the New 52 mags go on sale for less than what they are now? I'm more of a download and arc at a time as opposed to a month to month guy so I don't mind waiting if they go on sale from time to time.Gamertag and PSN Mrclutch1013

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Not yet. They're $3 when they come out and $2 after a month. Use the comixology app. They've got more than just DC and there's a Marvel sale every monday.
Batman and I Vampire have been the best in the new 52 so far. Justice League Dark not far behind but that's because I love the art style.Comment

I really must dig in and finish the first 7 issues of Swamp Thing, I'm fast becoming a huge fan of his writing.Comment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Snyder has quickly become my favorite comic book writer out there and he's never disappointed me with his stuff from when i've discovered him. His Swamp Thing is great but he REALLY shines with Batman. I hope he stays with the Batman franchise for years in one capacity or another. I think he really gets the feel for the character.
The Court of Owls storyline is damn good and some of the best Batman stories use Gotham in a way that it's like a living breathing entity so that's another plus for me.
So yeah for me the Batbooks except Catwoman and possibly Batwing (i'm really on the fence on that one and I hope after his foray into Gotham he goes back to Africa) are the best in the New 52 along with Swamp Thing and JLI (moreso because I'm a sucker for Booster Gold)Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Yes the idea that the city isn't truly his adds to it. Also the constant ominous feeling.
Detective Comics fell off after the Doll Maker. They're not even continuing the Joker story, that's in Suicide Squad.
I think Batman is the best and I Vampire second, which Batman is now heavily involved in. Very much looking forward to the Vampire/JLD crossover next week.Comment
