Thought I share a vid one of my buddies friends made. Not sure how accurate it is but I said a couple of things myself.

      I FINALLY CAUGHT UP!

BTW the DC 52 is doing a reshuffle. DC will only have 52 titles ongoing at any time so there's already been some cancellations and new series on the pipeline:

Cancelled: OMAC, Mister Terrific, Static Shock, Men of War, Blackhawks and Hawk and Dove.

(The only one i'm really sorry to see go is Hawk and Dove)

Coming to the fold: Batman Incorporated, Dial H, Justice Society of America, World’s Finest, Ravagers and GI Combat.

(World's Finest will star the Earth-2 Huntress and Power Girl....Hmm so I guess Earth-2 is back then. I'm looking forward to the new JSA book as i've heard it takes place in World War II times.)

Other things on my mind: Read Incredible Hulk people! It's really good and it's the only Hulk related book i've been enjoying.

Dynamite is starting up The Shadow again with Garth Ennis as the writer. #1 drops in April. Count me in.

Count me in as well though I have some tripidations (sp) that Ennis will darken the character to extremes.

The guy is a great comic book writer though so we'll see how it goes.

Not that I didn't love Batman #5 but that one really didn't lend itself to the digital format.

Also Fox is trying to stir things up: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2012/01/...-sex-violence/

Ya know, cause we have aliens flying around smashing giant robots in the middle of New York and a zombie outbreak in the Superdome every day.

I'm really REALLY starting to get annoyed at the way Winick writes Catwoman. I really do. There needs to be a better ******* writer on the title. Immediately.
The Dialogue is **** and hokey, and the every issue cliffhanger deal is lame, especially when it doesn't fit at all with the way Selina was written in the past. Being as Selina is a favorite character of mine its absolutely maddening.

At least i got Tim Seeley on Witchblade now, and other great writers on the rest of the stuff i read.

I don't get why people were blowing this Watchman thing up so much. Yeah, DC looks like a legit business with this move and I understand the sentiment of the uproar, but the best way to voice opinion is to just not buy the damn things. If they end up selling well, then people need to get over it.

Oh they'll sell no matter what

Either way, big sales or not they don't exist to me.

I love the Watchmen, but I would still give this a chance if reviews are good.

It's not like it's a sequel (don't see how that could work) and we already know events before the Watchmen happened so this prequel should fill that out some more.

I totally understand those who think this bastardizes the Watchmen but at the very least, they're not remaking it. Has Alan Moore given his thoughts on this?

I don't know what his exact thoughts are, but I know DC offered him the rights back to the Watchmen if he signed on and did work on the prequels. He declined.

As long as they don't give it to someone like Geoff Johns to write than I will give this a shot. (who's writing this?) Some random things after catching up on the previous 2 weeks: (gonna get into reading this week's E-pile soon)

                                - Winnick needs to stop writing Catwoman. That book is a total train wreck on all levels and the thing that Selina does before the end of the last issue is SO not her. I mean she might do something like that on a smaller scale but going all out like that just seems off. The setup for the next issue is pretty good but I have no confidence in Winnick to write good dialogue and with believable plot movement.

                                - On the flip side of that is Red Hood and the Outsiders. After a shaky start the comic has gotten a lot better and the storyline is pretty interesting. The characters all have their own voice and have settled into an established byplay with each other that isn't as grating as it was in the first couple issues. Jason Todd is still a bit rough around the edges but he's growing on me as an anti-hero type with a sense of justice as he's seeking revenge for what happened to the All Caste.

                                - The Bat books continue to be the strongest in DC with Catwoman being the only real true clunker. The Superman group of titles are swimming along though i'm not really enjoying SUPERMAN very much. The ending of the last issue really made me think "oh, a twist on Superman III, how droll" i"m sure it'll be more than that but yeah....Supergirl is pretty good right now as well and i'm liking this new take on her character.

                                - In regards to Marvel, there's not much to say not because they haven't been really good because trust me, some of the titles there are really hitting their stride it's just that the continuity is really thick especially with the Avengers and FF titles. I only read two of the Avengers books but man is it ever continuity heavy though it's nice to see the Vision back.

                                - The Spidey books are toe to toe with the Batman books as the best groups of titles in comics today. I'm slightly more in favor of Batman because I like him better but Spidey is damn good. The storyline in Venom is really good right now what with Flash having to work for the bad guys in order to protect Betty and his mother.
                                Spoiler

                                - Going with the smaller publishers, IDW's two new intertwined Transformers series have started out with great promise. One book revolves around Rodimus Prime and others who've left Cyberton in order to find the lost Knights of Cybertron but the ship they're on does a bit of jump in space and basically crashes on some unknown planet. The other book revolves around Bumblebee trying to keep peace and order on Cybertron despite the Decepticons planning to cause problems and the "NAILS" (more or less civilians) having no trust for either side and the frictions of such a tenous situation. I look forward to seeing how these titles go in the next while.
