    Re: Comic Book Fans....

I'm really enjoying Resurrection Man and Swamp Thing. Two titles I had never read before the reboot. I'm glad I gave them a chance.

I also just finished Superman #1 and is it just me or is it fairly lackluster?

Maybe it's just that I'm loving Action Comics so much. I find it hard to dislike anything that Morrison does.

In comparison to Action Comics, Superman is missing something. I think the art is fine, though not nearly as warm as AC, but the writing in the first issue tried to be more clever than what it probably should have been. The plot points they created were interesting enough to keep reading for me, though.

        Anyone ever read 100 Bullets?

I had a friend suggest it to me, but I have no clue what to expect
Don't you EVER read my blog? It's gotten a lot better.

It looks pretty nice art wise from the covers...but of course never judge a book by its cover.

100 Bullets is excellent. Brian Azzarello is a great writer. Its one of my all time favorite runs. Expect a good noir saga.

When I picked up my subs for this week (and last week) I went ahead and ordered the first TPB of Criminal (Cowards). The comic book guy pretty much hyped it up for me, so I can't wait to get it. He also suggested Sleeper and Incognito.

Marvel Comics, DC Comics, comics downloads, comic book movies, digital comics, free comics and more.

Pretty good read and obviously everybody's list will be different which speaks to just how great TAS really was.

I read the Wolverine and the X-Men title and the other new Gambit led book and I have to say the Wolverine comic was "gasp" FUN! Not so much with the other one but it had its funny moments.

As long as those two books don't turn into continuity porn or get cluttered in crazy events where one has to read all the titles than I'll keep reading them.

Loving this Doll Maker story in Detective Comics. Both Batman stories are very intresting and well done so far.

Marvel Zombie sale at Comixology. $1 each. Bought the whole thing.

Batman: Black Mirror is coming out as a graphic novel this month. Is it worth picking up? I've really enjoyed Scott Snyder's run on Batman and Swamp Thing, thus far and would like more of his stuff.

Apparently it's coming out as a hardcover. I almost bought the majority of the single issues tonight, but decided that I would rather have the HC. Plus, I picked up Batman and Son so I guess I've started down that Batman RIP/Inc road.

Batwoman is an awesome comic. I'm not sure who else is getting this, but I can't recommend this enough. The story is good and it has a nice pace going, but the artwork and its structure is what really moves this thing forward. The intro of the side-kick in her "new" suit is beautiful.

Agreed on Batwoman. When I heard they were having JH Williams back doing Batwoman after the run he did with her on Detective Comics it jumped to the top of my pull list.

It was Harley Quinns turn this week to be not wearing much.

Still only looked at the previews but Batgirl looks to be better than Batwoman to me. Batwoman has an odd style.

I haven't read my comics this week

This will be rectified by the end of the day I guarantee it.

I think Batwoman has a unique artistic style but I can see how it can be offputting to some. I know it's not fully my cup of tea but the story is keeping my interest.

I read the first chapter of Batman & Son last night. Grant Morrison seems to strike a nice balance between the "good-time" campiness of Batman and the more serious/grittier parts as well.

Morrison is very good with Bats it's just that he stuffs so much obscure continuity bits that one can get a headache. Other than that and the general tendency to get a bit weird he's one of the best writers today.
