Hm...probably a little older and wiser but still idealistic but at the same time isn't as rash as the younger Supes seems to be in ACTION.

SPTO, here's that Batman screen play if you want to read it. I finished it this morning and I enjoyed it. As a traditional Batman story, Nolan has the better work, but Darren's story and choices is definitely interesting and a very gritty piece of work overall.

Thanks. I hope they still retain his man of the people and willing to go against authority attitude when it comes to doing what is right.

Really? That's a shame to hear. From the previews, the art looked awesome. Comics Alliance seemed to enjoy it, though.

The second half of that is definitely true.

The art was good. The story wasn't that intriguing, but remember I'm one of those guys that DC wants to add to their new fan base, either as a past reader or new reader. I don't even know if the Manuel character existed in the old DC universe.

I've read a graphic novel or two over the years, but nothing like the comic reading I did in the 60's and early 70s.

I'm in the same boat essentially. I never had any subscriptions until the New 52 came out. All I can tell its just a marketing strategy (albeit a very good one) because while the storylines are all new, there is still continuity to the old storylines and characters from what I can tell.

It's a soft reboot so yes there's going to be some continuity involved in some way but it's kept to a minimum and even though i'm immersed in it I think it's pretty accessible to a newbie. I'm just worried that 2-3 story arcs from now that they start mucking things up again and making the DC universe a confusing mess again.

It was weird reading Teen Titans #1. That team is totally rebooted. They don't know each other at all, so that is good for someone that might be interested and jumping in from the beginning. Red Robin (Tim Drake) discovers that there is a crime organization that is rounding up meta human teenagers to do their dirty work, so he is out on a quest to form his own team of teenager supers to protect them. It was good comic, I will miss the team history that was there before though.

What's this new Wolverine & The X-Men storyline? From what I've read it sounds interesting.

I don't even want to go near the X-Men. That's one property that needs a total 100% reboot. From what little I know there's been a split and Wolverine heads up one group of X-Men and Cyclops another.

How does Jean fit into that? From the little I've read it said that Logan was the new headmaster and that Jean has essentially filled in for Prof. X.

Jean's been dead (again) for years now. Unless they have her coming back in the final issue of Schism which I doubt.

Anyway the whole thing is really about Scotts leadership the last few years and Logan disagreeing with how things are being handled. Its come to as head and they're banging it out while a Sentinel controlled by the new hellfire club comes to demolish Utopia.

Also George Perez has been booted off the Superman book at least on scripting duties. He'll be off the book after issue #7 with Keith Giffen/Dan Jurgens taking over.
