I have to check the news again for the rest but Brian Azzarello (100 Bullets) is writing the Comedian issues....which makes me bang my head againt the wall more. I may not like and won't read them but at least there is some decent writers on it for those that will.

Also I agree Catwoman's writing is **** and makes me yearn for Brubakers run last time.

Been falling behind on my comics reading of late. Still need to catch up with Spidey, XMen and the Bat titles outside of Catwoman.

Also on another note. I am so happy with what IDW has done with the GI Joe license starting with the excellent GIJoe: Cobra mini(A must read I recommend to anyone) up to the ongoing series now.

Fatale #2 wasn't as good as #1 but it was still pretty good. Should also mention I, Vampire was great last week with the whole Batman thing.

Yeah he is not happy. But remember he wasn't happy about the Watchmen movie either and refused to have his name attached to it. I'll give it a chance because I love Azzarello's writing.

I didn't find the movie to be all that great.

Yeah I agree it was no masterpiece. Although surely adapting that graphic novel would be almost a nightmare. I heard Terry Gilliam call it unfilmable at one stage?

For what it was I found it entertaining. I much prefer it when live action versions of comics take their cues from the graphic novels but don't directly adapt the stories. eg. The Dark Knight.

I thought Snyder's version of Watchmen was half-brilliant, half-terrible. Looked great for the most part, minus the bizarre old-age makeup. Fantastic opening credits montage. How Snyder treated the violence was completely wrong-headed. Way too campy in spots. Some of the character portrayals/actor performances were excellent, but Silk Spectre was awful, and Snyder misunderstood/screwed up Ozymandias so much it almost sunk the entire movie.

I have been enjoying Action Comics Superman, Batman, Batgirl, Supergirl & Justice League. Superman has been disappointing so far and I hope the change in writers helps. I don't mind Wonder Women but I thought it would have been better and I may drop it soon. Justice League is more action heavy and doesn't really develop the characters as much as the standalone issues for each character but I still enjoy it.

So DC is doing Smallville season 11 as a comic. I guess that could be interesting.

But seriously, no red trunks in this as well!! I'm nerd raging over here.

That should be interesting indeed. Well it's worked for Buffy so I suppose it could work with Smallville.

So Jason Aaron's Punisher MAX ended and I must say he did a very good job following up on Ennis' run on the title. The story went to its logical conclusion and I thought it was well done. I hope there are more MAX titles coming down the pipe as the only one left is the pretty off the wall Deadpool MAX which has been wildly uneven but for the most part there's usually something interesting in every issue. Personally i'd love to see a MAX take on The Black Panther.

Speaking of the Black Panther David Liss' Black Panther book just ended as well. I liked the different status quo employed in it (Panther is full of doubts, depowered and finding himself in Hell's Kitchen) but it's clear that was just a sidestep for the character and he'll be back in Wakanda which is basically how this run ended.

I haven't gotten to my DC books yet (tho will read them tonight) and I have the first two issues of Fatale stored tho I plan to get every issue and just sit and read the whole thing in one sitting. I did take a look at some of the interiors and it's what you would expect from BruPhilips.

I am about a month behind on my comics thanks to tax season. I finally picked up the past 2-3 weeks of subscriptions tonight, haha.

Me too, he had red trunks in the finale. So much for continuity.

Massive Darkness sale at comixology to go with the game.

The Harley/Joker scenes in Suicide Squad #6 are great. I have no idea who Lime and Light are though. I couldn't even look them up. There's a note that says Green Arrow threw them in jail in #2 of that, are they new characters or have they been around for a while? King Shark wasn't tossed off the team like I thought he was.

Yeah the Harley/Joker scenes were WONDERFUL. I have to say that I'm liking the new status quo for the Joker being "dead" (He's probably just out of circulation for a while) which frees things up for when there's a real big story that WILL involve him.

As for Light and Lime they're new characters. Their schtick is basically that they commit crimes for the internet notoriety.

I read most of the DC books for the week tho didn't get to the batbooks (Oh well that just means more Bats in one sitting next week!) I'm really liking the direction of Green Lantern what with Sinestro being the Green Lantern and needing Hal Jordan for his purposes. I'm really getting tired of Superboy though, that book just seems to be meandering and i'm not exactly finding sympathy for Superboy as he's being manipulated to no end.

Did that mysterious lady ever show up again? She was in all the #1's and #2's then haven't seen her again.
