    Re: Comic Book Fans....

Nice standalone Marvel graphic novel is Wolverine: Old Man Logan. Doesn't do much for getting back into comics, just one of my favorite stories. Love alternate timeline stuff.

Speaking of which, probably getting the Age of Apocalypse hardcover for Xmas, love my wife. Still my favorite story arc. Wish the current series was better (art, general direction, everything really).

The current Batman stories are fantastic. (The comic specifically called Batman, not The Dark Knight,Detective Comics or Batman & Robin)

Speaking on that, Snyder is already pushing his next post Joker arc with the Riddler. How far ahead does he write. Holy crap. Between Batman, American Vampire and Swamp Thing I don't think he takes any time off if he's writing almost a year ahead for each one

            Starting next year....

I love the guy as he does some great stuff and we may be witnessing another Bendis/Johns type of writer who's going to have a lot of pull on what happens in their company. I just hope there won't be a power struggle in a couple years if that's the case.

I am totally in on the new Marvel Now! lineup. Just bought a few trades from that, , and so far am loving the "Indestructible Hulk" story-arc.

Snyopsis: Banner allows Hulk to become an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D because he doesn't want to be remembered as "Hulk Smash" on his tombstone (lol). He envys Reed Richards and Tony Stark because they can be superheroes AND scientists who do good on both levels. Banner accepts his Hulk abilities and stops trying to find a cure. He makes a deal w/ Maria Hill that will allow S.H.I.E.L.D to use Hulk for their National Security interests, and in return S.H.I.E.L.D supplies a hi-tech lab, staff, and immense resources that will allow Banner to complete scietific research which will benefit humanity.

Loving this new Hulk story and bought the a $50.00 variant cover of the #1 too.

With several longboxes of 90's comics not even worth their cover price at this point I'm not sure I'll ever get back to the point where id pay a premium for a particular cover.

If I didn't break down and do it during AvsX I certainly won't be doing it for anything else anytime soon. Only events that could bet me interested would maybe be some new infinity gauntlet arc, or Secret Wars 3 or something.

It was a limited release and the store only got like 50 of that particular variant. I am hoping the investment will pan out some day.

Does anyone know why these books are always changing artists so frequently it seems? Just when you begin to enjoy an artist he is yanked off and exchanged for another.

Batwing(in story and art) really fell off after a solid start imo. Seems like books with african-american lead characters just can't maintain any consistency outside of former Spawn-Al Simmons(185 issue run)..
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.
