Well with Spider-Man i suggest starting from One More Day/Brand New Day(starting with Amazing Spider-Man 544). Thats where they pretty much changed the old status quo post Civil War, its a split down the middle of people who liked what happened and those who didn't. I'm in the second camp.

Deadpool still have his own comic? I stopped around the beginning of Cable/Deadpool.
Also, I wanna grab a couple graphic novels, went to a book store today and they had a bunch that got me sucked back in. I want one or two that I missed but is pretty essential to the current stories....House of M? Planet Hulk? Do they have a Civil War one?HELLO BROOKYLN.

First time Blair Butler mentions my name, it's preceded by the word excellent.

Re: Comic Book Fans....
So I've been reading some of the new comics this past week from a "source".
Deadpool is funny and Jonah Hex is cool.

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Sorry to bump this up but I have to ask does anyone enjoy the Noir series from Marvel? I read the latest X-Men and Spidey ones and they're EXCELLENT! I really like how Spidey's universe has been turned around into a very gritty 1930s Vigilante tale.
Has Marvel done a Punisher Noir mini? I think Punisher would be excellent for such a treatment as well.

Re: Comic Book Fans....
"By Volstaggs tiny feet!" lol
Does anyone else watch this ridiculously awesome show!?
On the surface it looks like silly, kid-friendly Cartoon Network/Nicktoons Marvel crap, but look deeper and it's absolute Marvel fan service overload. There are tons, and I mean TONS of tounge and cheek references and humor, and a laundry list of c-list villains. Its crazy. It's featured the Melter, The Wrecking Crew, Fin Fang Foom, Crimson Dynamo, Modok...Batroc the Leaper! Batroc the **** Leaper! Too may to list. Most shows may introduce characters every once in a while, but this show comes packed to the gills with new heroes and baddies every episode. X-men, Avengers, FF, Defenders, Masters of Evil.
Best of all, the voices and characterizations are spot on, and obviously done very carefully and written with a lot of love. Doom is freaking hilarious.
Does anyone else mark out on this show like I do? Am I late?
edit: damn, didn't even put the name in...thanks Depot. Yeah Superhero Squad.Last edited by HMcCoy; 02-11-2010, 09:22 AM.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Super Hero Squad Show? Hell yeah. I didn't pay it much attention at first because I thought it might be like that Baby Looney Toons show but I started watching it under the guise of "The kids like it". It's actually pretty good and like you said, full of fan service with the lesser known heroes and villians.PS: You guys are great.

Nice sig, lol.
Yeah, Superhero Squad is off the hook. I love how they keep it almost universally 80's and 90's apparrel. Basically, if you bought all of those Marvel Universe encyclopedia mags back in the day and read em cover to cover...then this is your show.
Batroc the Leaper, SMH.
BTW heres another Icon I painted. I got a ton more, I'll shoot you some links when I put them together.

Marvel has two good series going on now, 'Fall of the Hulks' and 'Siege'. What do you all think?

Siege is pretty good. I'm enjoying the "embedded" issues with Ben Urich and Volstagg. As for "Fall of the Hulks" it's confusing to me because I don't know the full backstory but it's been interesting reading.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
