OMIT is why i think the way i do. He's trying to save face TWO YEARS after he f'd up Spider-Man (and in a roundabout way overall 616) continuity with that abomintion that was One More Day. He knows how reviled that was and basically saying "look here's whats happened so now everythings ok and you don't have to hate me/OMD" No Sorry it doesn't work that way. And i'm sure everyone knows he had no clue how to set everything up when he did it.

I agree with you but at least he runs Marvel 100x better then Didio and the clowns over at DC who've been sinking that company further and further into quicksand.

If screwing up 616 continuity is Quesada's biggest issue with the Peter/MJ thing it can almost easily be fixed by a recon unless Quesada plugs up every out available to writers then....Well he's screwed it up forever and it'll be the biggest stain on an otherwise pretty good editorial run.

Has anyone here read 'Bone'? I've heard a lot of good things about it but am not sure whether to pick up the cheaper, massive paperback or buy the nine volumes in the seperate, colored editions.

Also, any news on a Kick-*** trade paperback coming out (not sure if I want to buy the hardcover)? Thoughts on the Preacher series?

        I too am a comics/graphic novel noob...

The Kick-*** hardcover isn't that expensive. I went ahead and bought it from Amazon last week, but they were backordered.

IMO Preacher is one of the best comic stories written.

This Spider-man - Gauntlet arc is starting to drag a little. The closure to it better be good.

Also in the last two I really felt they could have done a better job with using the Juggernaut.

Well the Juggernaut mini arc was a continuation of a previous story that Stern did during his run on the book. I thought it was pretty good old fashioned comic book goodness.

As for the Gauntlet storyline I came in the middle of it but I view it as interconnecting events rather then a whole arc. It will turn into an arc once everything is tied up. I'm really enjoying the Shed story arc though. It's pretty damn spooky and um...Did Conners eat his kid? (it wasn't made too explicit) if so that was pretty damn creepy.

Yes, yes he did. That's why in the last few panels Connor's thoughts tear away and they say Curt is dead.

Also, the Gauntlet isn't really a direct arc, at least not until the Kraven's have their plan in full gear.

In the 60's I remember the Marvel strength hierarchy being:
                      Hulk, Thor, Thing, Submariner, Spiderman.

On another note is there anyway to view past Action Comics without buying the originals? Just checking some old covers and as a big Superman fan there's over 300 issues I've never read (#1-#300)?

I'd say you have to stick Cap above Spidey and Iron Man, hmmmm, not sure where. Oh, Giant-Man was above Spidey too.

Cap isn't that superhuman kind of strong.

Unless something's changed upon his return, which I haven't followed

I was watching the Cartoon Retro Channel, and they have some superhero cartoon series with Superman, Batman& Robin and Wonder Woman - all together. It's pretty unique, but also pretty stupid becase Superman is clearly capable of saving all of them from anything except for when he's under the influence of Kryptonite. it's actually annoying seeing them figthing together against what Superman could beat all alone in his sleep.
