Re: Comic Book Fans....
Crap
SpoilerI've liked Damien almost from the very beginning. I know that it was Morrison's original intent to have Damien die after being redeemed so if it's indeed true than it's come a couple or so years later than expected.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Comic Book Fans....
I had picked up Uncanny Avengers 1-3, but had not read them yet. On this snowy morning in Northern VA I decided to finally check out the story. I have really enjoyed Uncanny Avengers so far, and look forward to issue #4.
I love how this story bursts on the scene from issue #1.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
I liked it initially, but I think equal parts not being a Red Skull fan, the whole 'Xavier's brain!!' thing, and the art/updated uniforms on this team looking like they were drawn by an 8th grader kinda dampen me on the book.Comment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Completely underwhelmed by Age of Ultron.
It's like reading Age of X but with characters I don't really like and horrible Age of Apocalypse (current series) art.
Enjoyed All New X-Men, Cable and X-Force, Avengers. Still need to read Iron Man, Superior Spidey and whatever I decide to snag online.Comment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
I liked the Xavier's brain arc. Two things I didn't like about the artwork (1) Cap looked way too big in a few panels (2) When Red Skull was inciting a riot there was only a handful of people drawn in one of the panels, there should've been a better scene where there were dozens upon dozens of faces succombing to the mind control.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
The Xavier brain thing was ruined for me when he was holding it at the end of #1.
Biggest pet peeve about the art is a lot of the panels have an incomplete look to them, and Havoc's uniform primarily.
Hate his brother's uniform too (but am coming around), but that's offset by how awesome Magneto's is.Comment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Age of Ultron = Very unappealing art though i'm intrigued about exactly how they all got into this situation. I'll read another issue or two probably.
All-New X-Men seemed like it was spinning its wheels a bit as setup for the next issue but I LOVED the mock conversation between Iceman and Kitty Pryde when Cap and Beast were talking over what happened earlier in the issue. It was quite amusing.
I'm liking the direction of Cable and X-Force as the concept of a rogue group who are viewed as terrorists but who are really trying to fix the future is intriguing. Things have taken an interesting turn by the end of the issueSpoilerwhat with Collosus and Domino seeming like they have at least a sexual relationship going on and the fact that he's now given himself up to the authorities.
Superior Spider-Man: WHOASpoilerSpidey (Otto) Kills!
The other issues released this week were all fairly good though i'm not sure if i'm all that enamored with the cosmic mumbo jumbo in Avengers.
RE: Uncanny Avengers? I think the storyline is pretty good and I like the way it's progressing. Like I said about the last issue I think they tried too hard to make it seem "epic" with the Chris Claremont style scripting but all in all the dynamics with the Avengers and X-Men working together is quite good. I do hope that the artwork steps up a notch or two though.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Thunderbolts really sucks. I subscribed to this title when I subscribed to Cap, Indestructible Hulk, and Hawkeye.
At this point in time I want to cancel this subscription, and subscribe to gotg instead. Guess I need to ride out this horrible 12 issue wave first though right?
Anybody know how the sucscriptions work through Marvel w/ canceling?Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Seems to be some sort of problem though. It asked for my e-mail address instead of giving me a list of comics. There's also something that says "Looking for the Marvel #1's? Read this." that's supposed to lead to a blog post about it but it leads to an empty page.Comment
