Re: Comic Book Fans....
The cap thing has to be implanted memories. Otherwise I am very jaded about the status quo change.

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Apparently there are some crazy events in Civil War #1. I haven't read the issue yet, I have it, but it was spoiled for me in an email notification.

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Hate to go back to the Cap thing again but last night I listened to this podcast that some guy started called comicsplaining where he explains comics and such for people not familiar with it. He goes in depth on the Captain America book and gives a very detailed and interesting take on the whole controversy. I still don't like the tinkering but I can see where this guy is coming from with his commentary.
Anyways here's the link. It's a touch over 30 minutes long.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Since the books have started releasing, for anyone that still has questions about Rebirth this is a great read explaining what each title will focus on.

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Despite the flak civil war II #1 got for its character deaths, I thought it was a damn good issue. Gorgeous art and good exposition. The deaths were the catalyst the book needed to give the event meaning and purpose.

I agree, I just think using character deaths as a catalyst for anything is such a cliche and a crutch. I mean, those characters will be back in a couple years.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Comic Book Fans....
To me something of significance needs to happen in such a big event. Too often Marvel does an event, some big bad enemy reigns terror for a little while, and then everything gets back to comicbook normal.Last edited by JBH3; 06-19-2016, 07:07 AM.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Now is the perfect time to jump on those DC books too. BTW DC is reasserting itself as a dominant publisher again while Marvel is flailing. It actually looks like the burnout from all the mega events has started to take hold on the fans from a buying standpoint.
I must say I did enjoy the structure of the story in issue 3 of Civil War II.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Comic Book Fans....
Just got to say, Marvel Unlimited is one of the best values in entertainment anywhere. Lately I've been reading full runs from the late 80s and early 90s while still keeping up with about 10 current books. Well current as they get on Unlimited. I was off work today and probably read about 20 issues.
I highly recommend if you haven't already.Gamertag and PSN Mrclutch1013
