That's EXACTLY how movie reviewers should approach each movie they review. I'm exactly that way and I really enjoyed Nat'l Treasure too (Helen Kruger is SMOKIN)

Re: The Da Vinci Code, Movie

I'll probably go see it on Friday since I have to get up early on Saturday and can't really go out Fri nite.

Hopefully it isn't sold out, but I'm sure I won't lose any sleep if it is.

Looking forward to this one. It has 2.5 hour runtime, which is what I expected, so I'll probably catch a Saturday matinee.

I heard that it is so, and that's probably why you see protests. But what the poster was referring to was the coming of a religious debate, an absolute no-no here at OS. We have to be careful when talking movies like this. Anyways I'm not sure how we can discuss things like this without ending up in debates.

I've never read the book, but I might go see the movie and see what the hype is about.

                        It's fiction people!

Sure there is research to make is SEEM plausible, but it's a story. It doesn't claim to be factual.

This is the thing the "extremists" and hardcore protestors. don't realize.

It's a damn fictional story...yes, it uses factual evidence and things, but that is how Dan Brown rights. Fiction about fact, well-researched data to make his stories interesting.

This and Angels and Demons were two of the best books I've read because they were fictional, but they seemed so real, and they made you think, made you question things, and just takes you in and keeps you there.

I really don't know anything about the book or movie, so maybe I heard wrong, but doesn't the author claim on the first page that everything in the book is true?

He claims he is referring to real pieces of art at real places.

He says, and I quote..."All descriptions of artwork, architecture, documents and secret rituals in this novel are accurate" and says that the two main organizations that he talks about in the book are both true.
