I swear, if I speak with anyone today that said that the film was "meh" I will make a pencil disappear.
Overall satisfaction also makes the decline!!!!!!!!!!!!

          Re: The Dark Knight Discussion

Saw this at midnight last night in a packed house with 4 buds, and the concensus between us was that this was one of the best movies we've ever seen, period. Everything about it was fantastic (aside from Maggie, who I still thought was good, just not great). Can't say enough about Ledger, who was obviously the main attraction of the movie, and he didn't dissapoint. I was left wanting more of him every time he left the screen.

Eckhart was also fantastic as Dent/Two Face. The makeup was disgusting, but looked AWESOME.

Overall, this honestly may be the best movie I have seen. I realize that it's still new and fresh which may sway my opinion, but I have never left the theater wanting to sit through another sitting again, especially with a 2 and 1/2 hour movie.

I just got back from watching it... I was fortunate to watch it at an employee showing so there was only about 10 people in total; didn't have to wait in lines or sit next to anyone besides my girlfriend. Then the movie started...

I am like everyone else and think this is one of the best movies I've ever seen. I don't come out of a movie more excited then I went in and I don't come out saying it was the best movie ever. But with this one, I am still flying off the walls wanting to watch it again and I think it is one of my favorites of all time. Great direction, superb acting, perfect dialogue--not much I would change (although I would've liked more Morgan Freeman). I am interested to see what the next movie will be like because this one set quite a bar.

And I'll be honest, when Batman is driving on the batcycle at the very end with the narration going (great words being said there btw) I started to get a little choked up. Sort of embarrassing, but it was just so epic I didn't want it to be over.

I felt the SAME exact way.

And, yeah, I'm sorry but Katie > Maggie as Rachel.

This maybe blasphemy but it think you find someone to replace Heath so that the Joker can be in the 3rd movie.

I think the freedom they gave the joker rather then heath himself made the character.

I mean, though it may be indecent to us fans, there may be no actual reason to ever even make another sequel, at least on Nolan's track record. You never know.

I went last night and the movie more than lived up to the hype. It is one of if not my favorite movie i've ever seen. The whole thing was nailed, absolutely incredible.

                                Re: The Dark Knight Discussion

The movie was, on its own, short of bringing all of the material back from Batman Begins. I'd say that one more negative about this movie is that it really separated itself from the first one, though you need to know a bit about the characters. What I mean is, a simple re-mention of Bruce's late parents or perhaps bringing back the arrowhead would have been something nice. Not only that, but there were quite a few shots in the trailer that were missing from the movie.

What I'm hoping for is an awesome 180 minute special edition Blu-ray version of this movie, but I have a feeling that's not going to happen.

Keep note that I do need to bring out some negatives, because this movie wasn't perfect (and the second-to-beginning was pretty messy, as well). But this is still probably the best movie I have ever seen. To prove to myself that it is, it will probably get two more theater viewings and at least one IMAX viewing. This movie was simply awesome, phenomenal. It's a shame that 11 critics on RT didn't think the same way we do, or else it could be anywhere between 98 - 100%.
