Interesting episode last night. So much happened and so many questions were raised. I can't wait until next week.

I got the impression that the Doctor who was with Ethan was the leader of the Others. Of course, I've been more wrong than right when it's come to this show.

I wouldnt think so. Why would the leader of the Others leave the island to personally recruit someone himself? Wouldnt it make more sense that he send a henchman or something?

I still think Ben is 2nd in command behind the big big guy we havent met yet....Jacob perhaps?

I'm pretty sure Dr. Albert was from Suddenly Susan. His name is Nestor Carbonell, and although it's not listed on his IMDB page, I'm positive it's him.

I don't think Richard Alpert is the big guy.

I'm going to assume he works directly with the DHARMA Initiative as a recruiter.

Ethan is likely a recruitee and considering he is given the responsibility of caring for Claire's unborn child, it's safe to assume he has experience in medicine and fertility health, hence the relation with him, Alpert, and Juliette.

We obviously don't know who of the Others has lived there their whole life, but I'm going to assume that the ones that haven't are in the same position as Juliette (and Ethan, if he were alive). They are there by choice, but likely have been kept longer than expected.

The producers have already confirmed that we will find out the true connection between the Others and DHARMA in a few weeks.

I should rephrase that. Head of Dharma Initiative is actually what I meant. However, what if Jacob is that Doctor?

Food for thought though.....You asked why the leader would've left the island to personally recruit her himself? What if the leader didn't leave the island to recruit her, but took her to the island initially?

Maybe I missed something, but as far as I know, we still don't know how the Others got on the island or why they are there.

Do we even know how long they've been there? We know SHE'S been there for three years... and obviously that flashback is before her three years... can we safely assume or conclude the others have been there for longer?

I don't remember hearing that either.

I still think Juliet disobeyed Ben's order. Their discussion was more heated than him telling her to help them escape so he'll live. We know she wants off the island, but why was she pacing and looking upset about it. We obviously have no idea what was actually said in the room, but something's up IMO. I think she disobeyed something he said.
