the way LOST is moving, and the how fast the fans are leaving, I wouldn't be surprised if Season 4 is it. Just so many answers are being thrown at us, it almost seems like they are preparing for the end right now...

BTW Sawyer is easily my favorite character right now on LOST... I remember when the show first started I hated Sawyer and loved Jack, but now, it's the opposite. Love Sawyer hate the annoying Dr. Jack.

The choke out by chain method was pretty tight as well IMO.

That or they can go back into the stall mode and just ask 50 new questions per episode while answering two. There are so many twists and turns the writers can take at this point in time - this show could go on for another three seasons at least if they want it to.

Are the ratings dropping that much? Stupid Americans and their minute attention spans.

I'm trying to think what the season finale cliffhanger will be.

One option is to have a scene where Ben tells Jacob to come out and the screen goes dark. The producers could always kill off a major character or two although this wouldn't really be a cliffhanger.

They have dropped from what they were last season, plus add the time slot change, so they are around 11 million. They are adding 2-3 million though through DVR ratings. Plus the show is a hit all around the world, so its not going any where.

There's a good chance that's where the others are heading right now. The end of Season 3 could definitely be Ben saying "John, let me introduce you to Jacob." And they zoom in on Locke with a puzzled look on his face (although that'd basically replicate the end of the episode where he first saw his father tied up).

Jacob and the smoke monster are the two huge questions marks still hanging over my head.

So next week's show is called "Man Behind the Curtain" and last season we had Henry Gale with the balloon. Maybe Lost is just one big modern day Wizard of Oz? So to get off the island they just have to find to find the ruby slippers, which are probably guarded by Ben who you just know is a total shoe fetishist.

No, its one of those story lines that goes unanswered, but I thought when Sawyer grabbed the "Mix tape" for Kate a few weeks back he said he took it from Bernard.

I would have imagined that Rose would have played a key role ala Locke, as she too was able to harness the healing power of the island. We'll see.

you know what scares me? Sawyers character arc ended last night... he got revenge on the real Sawyer and now has nothing left to tie him to the island.... And you know what happens when people get their personal life resolved on LOST...

Please Cuse and Lindeloff don't kill him! He's the best the show has!!!

Haha. Yes, there have been some Wizard of Oz references, but I think it's more an Easter Egg than anything else. Just a twist on a bunch of people being somewhere that isn't home and hoping to get back.

They are alive and well. But for some reason have not been in Season Three at all.

I think having Jacob in darkness and ending on Locke's face would be a disappointing cliff hanger to season three.

Fun stuff.

The intense hatred building in Sawyer was palpable, yet you could see him struggle. Three months ago he would've happily strangled this guy, but right now he was fighting it. Only Cooper's biting sarcasm and total defiance pushed him over the top. Tearing up that letter with contempt and indifference was the final straw, the last catalyst needed to push Sawyer beyond all control and reason. The kill scene was animalist - absolutely fantastic - and kudos to the writers for not providing a gun or a knife. Slaying the real Sawyer with his bare hands and finally realizing his ultimate goal was the coolest way for James Ford to fulfill his purpose... his reason for being on the island. Now let's just hope he doesn't get killed off, like many of the other characters who've 'let go' of their past.

Whether it be a purging final release from the hatred or just remorse for the killing, Sawyer vomits right afterward. Locke then delivers a line that potentially holds double meaning: "Now you can go back". Back to camp? Or back to someplace else now that Sawyer has resolved his inner conflict?

Sawyer is getting killed off soon.

I actually DON'T think that Sawyer's on the way out any time soon. I think he'll get back, expose Juliet, and then with Sayid and Jin probably form the new leadership on the beach (Charlie will die, Hurley's comic relief, and we have to assume Desmond will be tied to Naomi).

Now Kate kicking it, I would venture that...since they teased she "might" be pregnant and I don't think she'll go with the Others without a fight, and I also don't want Season Four to start with more folks in cages (especially one who was there before).
