Re: Friday Night Lights show
From the start, they had no clue how they were going to end it, and had it planned out for 15 ep's, the final 5 they were going to wing it, but weren't even written at time of cancellation.Comment

Re: Friday Night Lights show
I didn't watch Reunion, but the producers mentioned who they thought would be the killer. They said it was probably going to be Sam's daughter.Comment

Re: Friday Night Lights show
Figures. The only two new shows I'm watching this fall are going to get sh*t-canned.
Oh, well, just proves that America is becoming the land of the lowest common denominator. We don't want to think; we just want stupid sh*t like reality TV and "Dancing with the Stars" thrown at us.
Take care,
PK
Survivor is the stupidest show around. Each year they put together the exact same personalities who have the exact same arguments and squabbles and the ratings never go away.
I bet, for the next Survivor, you could put actors on the island and have them say exact dialogue from Survivor 2 and nobody would notice. Not one. It could have the exact same outcome and nobody would notice or blink an eye.
Man do I hate reality TV.Comment

Re: Friday Night Lights show
Well if the ratings are low and declining they will. There will be a significant drop in advertising dollars making it expensive for NBC to keep paying for the show.It is cheaper for the networks to run a repeat or a reality show then to keep paying for a show that isn't bringing in money.Comment

Re: Friday Night Lights show
FOX has cancelled shows in the last few years that my wife and I enjoyed, and we're very reluctant to watch shows on FOX for the fear that they will also be cancelled. Those shows were, Tru Calling, Reunion, Firefly, The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr, and Point Pleasant.
It just irks me that we never got to see the ending to Point Pleasant or Reunion.
Back on topic, how is Friday Night Lights? I have missed the first 2 weeks and have to find a way to catch this show if it's good.Comment

With that said, I could see NBC moving Studio 60 to another night or timeslot. As for FNL, that could definetly be cannceled in the next few weeks.Comment

Re: Friday Night Lights show
That was stupid as I was really enjoying this show. There were many young faces on this show that we had seen on other shows. I just wish they would have ended the series the right way.
If their going to cancel a show, don't cancel it with a few episodes left. FOX has a very bad habit of stringing us along the entire season only to wait till the final episodes of the season to cancel a show. That pisses me off.

Re: Friday Night Lights show
Well Smith head a heavy dose of promotions and was canned after three weeks.CBS has the best shows and generates the most advertising dollars and was in a position to give it a chance, but they didn't.
NBC has finished third the past couple of years and have the least profit of the big four networks, so in reality they are in no position to give a struggling show a chance if it doesn't perform. They already panicked and moved Studio from Thursday's to Monday's before the fall season started.
Tuesday's at 10 might be a good choice since ABC is the only network airing original programming at this time.Comment
