[quote=Blzer;2038821233]I'm glad Howard won't return, he was one of the weak links (casting-wise) in Iron Man. Didn't really like him in any scene.
This and......this. However, I think equal choices for Black Panther would be Chiwetal Ejiofor or Djimon Hounsou.Originally posted by jonnDoughI'd prefer Cheadle as Black Panther.PS: You guys are great.

Re: Iron Man is.....
I've liked Howard in most of the things he's done but his voice in the first Iron Man was really... soft in the first movie. Was kinda distracting. I love Cheadle and think he'll work great with Downey. From reading the comic back in the day, I always pictured Rhodey as a more "grizzled" character, rough around the edges. Cheadle can do pretty much anything, so will be interesting to see which direction they take the characterHBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

I agree... Howard was more a pretty boy type character in this movie, although it didn't really allow for a lot of attention to be paid to his character.I've liked Howard in most of the things he's done but his voice in the first Iron Man was really... soft in the first movie. Re: Iron Man is.....
Wow!! I thought Howard was a good fit for War Machine. Wasn't like he was on the screen like that. In the comic books, was his character more or less watching out for Tony like in the movie? I don't know if this will be as positive as many think. What grizzly rough type of character has Don played? Just curious.......Comment

Re: Iron Man is.....
I love, love, love Don Cheadle and everything he's put out. One of my favorite actors. With that said, I'm not really pleased with this move for several reasons. Firstly, it appears they weren't really fair to Howard; he did at least an adequate job and deserved to be given a chance in the second one. At least negotiate with him with what you think he is worth. Secondly, I hate it when movies change actors for the same character. Hated it when it happened in Batman, hate it in this case. When you're watching the movies back to back, it kinda detracts from the experience to try to train your mind to believe that the character looks different but is the same person he or she is supposed to be playing. Lastly, I have the highest respect for Don Cheadle and his acting ability but I think Terrence Howard was the better fit for the character. Sure, he's got a softer voice than I'd like but his physique and his demeanor was oddly very fitting for the character. As a huge fan of the comics before the movies, I really grew to like the approach that Howard took and was pretty set on him playing him in the sequel.Wow!! Re: Iron Man is.....
Funny, I hated Howard initially, but after several re-watches, he kinda grew on me. A little soft-spoken but he really nailed the "big brother looking out for you" vibe critical to whomever plays the part. I still think the dude who played Spawn had the perfect look tho.
Isn't Cheadle kinda slim for Rhodes?Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment
