You most certainly can. And, so long as you deregister your number from imessage, you should be able to continue on with existing group messages. They'll no longer be imessage but your folks will survive lol

This is the only reason I haven’t dropped the iPhone. iMessage is huge! On Android is have to use WhatsApp to share high quality videos in group chats.

Not entirely true, I love and can't express love Hangouts app, it's almost like having imessge, yo can see when someone is typing, video chat just FaceTime. iMessage s so overrated it's crazy.

Tried almost all of them. They all downgrade video quality and none keep the quality of videos like iMessage. iMessage is easily one of the strongest apps iPhones have and the sole reason many don’t switch over. I disagree that iMessage is overrated.

Tried almost all of them. They all downgrade video quality and none keep the quality of videos like iMessage. iMessage is easily one of the strongest apps iPhones have and the sole reason many don’t switch over. I disagree that iMessage is overrated.

I hate to admit it but iMessage and maintaining video quality is one reason I switched back with an 8 Plus from a Note 8 and S8. I’ll try again in a year or so.

I’ve had my iPhone 7 for about 3 and a half months now and the thing that makes this phone outstanding is the battery life.

When on standby, this phone barely uses any battery. There have been days when I’ve been at work for 8 hours and go home with 40 percent left on the battery.

The only remedy is for the group you’re in to all be in WhatsApp or another third party app in order for the video quality to be decent but all them apps downgrade the video as opposed to iMessage. Google is supposed to change SMS to RCS and when that happens regular text messages will be on par with iMessage.

Upgraded Saturday and picked up the X....was intrigued by the Galaxy/Note 8 but I feel too engrained in iOS and afraid to move to Android lol...

My wife got the Note 8 and I really liked it, the Galaxy 8 def. looks interesting as well.

I have time to return my phone, decisions to be made haha.

So I made the switch to the Note 8 last night....phone really is incredible, loving it so far.

Android is so foreign to me as I haven't been in the ecosystem forever but the customization is so awesome...there's a ton of little things I really like about the OS and phone as well that I didn't even think about.

The S-Pen and it's functionality is one of those things I never knew I needed but can't imagine not having now...esp. in my line of work, it's gonna be a godsend I just know it.

The ability to have multi apps open at once is mind blowing for me lol coming from iOS.

All in all, a great start and can't wait to tinker more with the phone.

Don't get me wrong, the X is still an awesome phone and I would 100% recommend it to anyone that wants a new iPhone.

I purchased an iPhone X with the AppleCare plan in January. I was thinking of taking my case off and going naked while I still have that care plan. The leather case that I have on it now is great, but I feel like it takes away from the actual design on the phone. Has anyone else used their phone without any cases?
