Never had a case for my 3s or 4s. Went with the Apple leather one for the 6. Back to naked for my 7 Plus. I like it better caseless.

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
I purchased an iPhone X with the AppleCare plan in January. I was thinking of taking my case off and going naked while I still have that care plan. The leather case that I have on it now is great, but I feel like it takes away from the actual design on the phone. Has anyone else used their phone without any cases?

Ugh.... was plugging away with my 256GB 8 Plus and felt compelled to get a X so I hit up Swappa. It should be here today or tomorrow. 256GB, Space Grey X. And, it’s still within the 60 days in which I can add AppleCare+.

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
She said she would try to ship it yesterday but she didn't. So I really hope she does tomorrow.
At some point I might try try to haggle for the X, but I need to keep the 7 for at least a year or my wife will kill me.Comment

Correct, on the top of my phone.
Hmmm that’s surprising, I had no problems on Android.

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
I've never owned an Apple product before, but recently got someones old phone since they were upgrading(they kept their old phone when going to a new plan with a new phone). I don't have any intention of buying any kind of plan for the phone (I know these types of things will be expensive), but still want to see if I can just use it simply as an extra device, just for apps(so basically using it like an Ipod Touch), as a camera and so on because it's actually better than my current phone, though it's not unlocked so I can't just get whatever plan I want.
If anyone wants to comment on any of the above, feel free, but the main thing I'm trying to figure out is if I can just factory reset the device? With no plan or anything on the phone, can I just use it all fine if the entire phone gets reset? Or would it be wiser to just delete all the things on the phone(apps, pics, videos, music etc.) manually and in a way reset it myself?
I think the phone might still have their apple account on it, which I don't know the passcode, which is partially why I'm thinking of just factory resetting it(I believe in recovery mode you can bypass all this), though if this isn't wise given that this phone isn't unlocked, doesn't have a plan and I won't be getting one, I'll just get them to log in and remove their account and any security stuff on it.Comment

If you reset it without their password you're screwed. You need to have the other person remove the phone from their iCloud account and then you can do whatever you want with it.
