Everybody that is "underwhelmed", what were you honestly expecting? There are usually no huge leaps in phones year to year.

I think that's the problem. Each update is usually vanilla and people are maybe starting to get tired of it.

Customers already complain about how less intuitive Apple products are and how they have gone away from their original "for the people" model.

Ended up getting the 7 Plus today. Coming from a 6, so the size is going to take some adjustment.

Thought about the 8/8 Plus, but 128gb is the sweet spot for me, I don't care about wireless charging and I got to save a bit of cash.

iPhone Discussion Thread

Decided to cancel my iPhone X preorder and am thinking about going back to Droid, very interested in the Pixel 2 and Note 8. Just kind of bored with my iPhone 7 to be honest. Just hoping I won’t regret switching it for some reason I miss IOS. I do like it but the only other IOS device I use is Apple TV so integration isn’t super important to me

The iPhone X is awesome phone. I’m def having fun with the x. If you want to fully have a customization of a phone get an andriod. But don’t get the pixel 2. There’s a lot of issues with. Get the note 8. But I’m having a lot of fun no complaints.

I got the Note 8, really like it so far. Weird getting used to android again after being on iOS for 2 years

Love the X. Was really on the fence and woke up late to get it but the line was short and was able to pick it up later that day.

Phone runs so smooth, Face ID works great and got used to all the gestures.

I also picked up Beats studio 3 headphones which are great. Sounds great and pairing with each device is much easier than my Sony headphones.

No finger print at all just face and numerical unlock. Never tried it with the lights off but heard it works great.

Face unlock works great, better than I expected. The first night in the dark I had a couple issues but after that face unlock works most of the time except in the morning when my face is half awake. Didn’t recognized my f’d up face but no problems any other time even when wearing a hat or sunglasses.

Also gotta admit the Animoji is fun. Talking crap to friends with the poop emoji is pretty funny. It will definitely catch on.

The notch doesn’t bother me, screen is fantastic and it the phone it self feels great. Good weight and feels really premium.

As for the Beats Studio 3, I think they are great. The sound is good not super bass heavy as what they are known for. Battery life is crazy, charged once since the 3rd. Connectivity is super smoother between devices, have them connected to all my Mac stuff and super easy to switch between each one

They also go really far from the device. I accidentally left my phone in the car and went grocery shopping, didn’t notice connection loss until half way through the store. Super impressive.

The noise canceling is not as good as Bose Quiet Comfort and also not as comfortable. I think I will stick with them though as they look and sound great to me.
