I got a 32GB 3Gs, and I have had it for over a year, and barely used half of it, maybe a third. For the price difference I am going to get a 16GB next time... and my GF got the 16GB due to the same thing. It can still hold a ton of stuff.

But everyone's needs are different.

That's what I'm thinking. I'm basically going to use it for calling/texting/photos and apps. I don't have a music "library" and nor do I plan to put movies or tv shows on it as well (i dont have any on my computer either).

Maybe a little HD video here and there but that's it.

I just dont want to fork over a $ 100 if I won't use it.

EDIT: Oh....and internet access as well.

Yeah then if you are not using it for music, and just what you mentioned, then the $100 really would not benefit you in what you get in return.

But also like Pared said, you are locked in to a contract, so overall that money over time equates to pennies on the dollar.

Either way, but 16GB is still a lot of storage, especially if you are not a "power user".

Yeah...thanks for the help. I guess if my only uses will be phone/text/apps & internet access a 16gb would be plenty.

But I also see Pared's point as well.

Oh well.....I'll just leave it as a game time decision and see what happens when I go to the store.

before my iPhone crashed due to the November iTunes update, i used 28 of the 32gb for the 3sG. i had over 500 songs, 12 movies (& shows) 2 NFL games, and 8000+ photos...

And you would be the power user.

He already said he would not be that hardcore. But you never know, he may fall in love with the ability to do those things, and then go nuts!

The iPhone4 truly is a nice phone, even if Apple still makes it very limited in the personalization and usability areas other phones offer.

Wow I'm glad. I've had an AT&T account since they were Celluar One. The same number since 1995.

AT&T has been getting on my nerves lately. Maybe Verizon will make them adjust their rates. Because a lot of ppl are going to bolt.

Thats great news for Verizon customers. If I wasn't locked into a two year contract, I'd probably consider switching.

I'm locked in for a bit too, but I'm pretty happy with my AT&T service so I'd only consider switching if Verizon's rates are lower.
