Highly doubt that. That's just like those iPad 3 rumors coming out in October even though the iPad 2 just came out in April or so.

The earliest I would expect an iPhone 5 is June or July.

I also can't wait for the untethered jailbreak to drop for iOS 5. I want my notification center to be more useful!

This is why Apple is at a disadvantage, when it comes to this.

They are the only hardware supplier for iOS. However, the 4S is still behind hardware wise. The 5 is coming, but like was said, definitely not that early.

With Android, it's accepted that new devices will come out almost monthly.

It's not a disadvantage at all. How many times do people complain about not getting their Android OS update on their phone while others get it?

Apple supports their hardware with software feature updates until it's end of life, typically 2 years later.

And your comment is completely subjective. Considering it has what is considered the best GPU available for a mobile handset, that's up for debate.

People get hung up on specs and don't even factor the experience. Wow, my new phone is .2 GHz faster... I'm at the cutting edge of technology!

Anyway - this is the same argument people have tried to make for how many years now? People don't care. Those that do have an option... and still "look over the fence."

Well, obviously, there are both advantages and disadvantages.

I meant the disadvantage is when, if they wanted, they come out with a new 'phone' in March, you know there will be backlash. Which is what I was replying to.

Does anyone use their iPhone without a case? I went without a case when I had my iPhone 3 and besides the back side looking pretty worn, I didn't have any problems.

I just hate the extra bulk and the fact that I can't plug it into a dock or use the aux cable in my car. Plus, it just doesn't look as good in a case.

Of course, it wouldn't look very good if I were to drop it and have the screen shatter into a million pieces, either.
